25.01.2022 MEET OUR TRAINER: Billy trains and assesses our students in their 2 day ambulance driver training unit and has been with us since 2016! Hes been a defensive driving instructor for over 25 years and has worked for many driving schools and a variety of car and tyre manufactures which involved different forms of driver training such as Defensive Driving and 4WD driver training, Chauffeur driver training, High performance driver training and Race track driver coaching. He has also worked for car manufacturer Mercedes Benz where he has provided staff and customer driver training.

19.01.2022 MEET OUR TRAINER - JASON Jason trains and assesses our First Aid, Cert III Non-Emergency Patient Transport & Diploma of Paramedical Science qualifications. Having completed both of these himself, Jason has years of extensive hands on experience having worked in the NEPT sector for non-emergency providers such as National Patient Transport, Patient Transport Australia and Event Paramedics where he was a Team Leader for 4 years in charge of 8 vehicles and 30 staff. Not one to keep still, in 2013 Jason started his own Event Medical company with 5 vehicles, employing 15 staff. He maintains his industry currency, skills and knowledge by continuing to work out in the field. He also trains First Aid from beginner to advanced high level, including industry specialised First aid courses.

Jo-Anne is an Australian Legal Practitioner who works across the health, education and disability sectors to conduct investigations, provide legal advice and deliver training and methods of alternative dispute resolution. She has previously worked as in house Counsel for the Mental Health Review Board of V...ictoria and the Disability Services Commissioner of Victoria, has held various positions on State Government Boards and Tribunals and is currently a Legal Member of the Mental Health Tribunal of Victoria and Deputy Chair of the Independent Office for School Dispute Resolution. Jo-Anne is also a senior lecturer at both Monash and LaTrobe Universities, where she teaches health law related content. 16.01.2022 Due to Victorias current Stage 4 lockdown measures and business restrictions, our training organisation has decided to place a moratorium on all face to face onsite training in a conscientious effort to play our part in helping to stop the spread of this terrible virus and the impact it is having on all of us as a community. First Intervention is still running li...ve online training in our courses and our students are continuing to progress through their qualification via weekly live ZOOM training sessions. 12.01.2022 MEET OUR TRAINER: VIRGINIA Virginia is a subject matter expert and trainer in our Diploma of Paramedical Science. She studied both Nursing and Clinical Practice (Paramedics). Virginia has practised as a registered nurse at the Australian Red Cross Blood bank, as a civilian for the Australian Defence Force, in Aged Care and more recently as a Community and Practice Nurse. Virginia has worked as a paramedic since 2005 with a large proportion of that time supporting the Austra...lian Defence Force and as a First Responder. She works as a trainer in all of the above roles including training paramedics on the job and teaching combat first aid to ADF members before they deploy overseas. Residing in Canberra, Virginia flys to Victoria to conduct face to face training and assessment for us. DAVID David trains and assesses all levels of First Aid as well as the Certificate III Non-Emergency Patient Transport & Diploma of Paramedical Science qualifications! David joined the Royal Australian Navy at 16 yrs of age and served for 14 years as a Medic. He holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Pre-hospital Care, a Bachelor of Nursing (Div1) and has extensive emergency medical training skills. He has held instructional roles in training and coordi...nating teaching to military medical staff including Basic (Cert 4 Nursing equivalent) & Advanced emergency/health & nursing courses as well as initial recruits training in First Aid and training for ship based workplace first-aiders. He also conducted pre-employment medical assessments in defence recruiting and was an instructor within the civilian/military environment in health for all personnel. David teaches with us and in the TAFE sector .... his main passion is to teach and conduct health & education sessions & seminars for a wide range of people in the areas of health and first aid. In amongst his exhaustive training/assessing schedule, David continues to conduct industry observer shifts with a range of Victorian non-emergency patient transport providers as well as run his own First Aid mobile training company INNACARE.
