14.01.2022 Supporting Meals On Wheels: First National King & Heath (Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance, Metung & Paynesville, Vic) have been involved with the region’s Meals on Wheels programme for nearly 20 years. As many would be aware, Meals on Wheels provides nutritious and diet-specific meals, delivered to the homes of the elderly by volunteers. FN King & Heath staff volunteer their time to deliver meals to clients as part of a roster for two weeks a year. Most residents are happy for sta...ff to come in and chat and make conversation whilst they deliver a 3-course meal comprising soup, meat and two-thirds vegetables, followed by dessert and orange juice. The locals appreciate that First National staff take time out of their day to make a contribution to community. FN King & Heath administrator Heather McKee says our staff always return to the office feeling proud to have volunteered their time. They also enjoy chatting with the locals, young and old.

04.01.2022 We're excited to announce that 17 year-old Ben Okely has been nominated for the First National Real Estate Leadership Award in the Victorian 7 NEWS Young Achiever Awards. Ben's achievements have earnt him a coveted Australian Scout Medallion and, recently, a Queen’s Scout Award the highest honour in the Scouts’ youth movement. He has supported various local organisations as part of his Scouts badgework, including Meals on Wheels, Goulburn Valley Christian Fellowship, Mad Cow Mud Run and Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation. Judging for the awards will be on Wednesday, March 3, with finalists presented and winners announced at an awards gala presentation dinner on Friday, April 16. Category winners will each receive $2000 worth of prizes and a trophy, with one of the category winners also named 2021 Victorian Young Achiever of the Year.
