25.01.2022 Police, fire and ambulance crews are at Long Reef where a hang glider has crashed into the headland. Paramedics are in the process of stabalising the man but his location, well down the cliff face, is making rescue difficult.



25.01.2022 Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Penrith. Tia Whitfield, aged 14, was last seen on Lord Sheffield Circuit in Penrith, ab...out 7.30pm on Sunday (22 November 2020). Officers from Nepean Police Area Command commenced inquiries into her whereabouts but the girl is yet to be located, and family and police hold serious concerns for her welfare. Tia is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm tall, of thin build, with black hair and brown eyes. She has been known to frequent the Sydney CBD, Cambridge Park, and Cranebrook areas. The girl was last seen wearing black pants, a white T-shirt, and white Nike runners. Anyone who sees Tia or knows of her whereabouts is urged to contact Nepean Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. 25.01.2022 LEARNER DRIVER CAUGHT BREAKING ALL THE RULES-GILLMAN A learner driver will face court after he was detected travelling at 130km/h in a 60km/h zone at Gillman last night and also tested positive to drugs. Just after 10pm on Saturday 16th January, police were monitoring traffic on the Grand Trunkway, when they timed a blue Commodore sedan travelling at 130km/h in a 60km/h zone.... Police activated their emergency flashing lights and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver allegedly refused and it continued north onto Garden Island. Police pursued the Commodore for a short moment then terminated the pursuit for safety reasons. A few minutes later, a patrol located the wanted vehicle abandoned on the island, then finding the driver and two passengers about 70 metres away hiding in bushes. The driver, a 25-year-old man from Ingle Farm was drug tested allegedly returning a positive sample to cannabis. Police enquiries also revealed he was only the holder of a learners permit, wasn't displaying L plates and didn't have a qualified supervising driver present. The Ingle Farm was reported for driving at a speed dangerous to the public, engaging in a police pursuit, breaching his learners permit conditions and drug driving. The blue Commodore sedan was also impounded for 28 days and defected for mechanical faults.

24.01.2022 ESCAPEE STEALS CAR AT WEST LAKES SHORE Police are currently searching for Jason Burdon who escaped from the Adelaide Remand Centre this morning. Police were alerted to the incident just after 10.20am on Tuesday 1st December, after he escaped from the kitchen area of the Adelaide Remand Centre on Currie Street.... Burdon (pictured) is 33-years-old and described as about 165cms, with a medium build and light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a navy blue t-shirt, navy blue shorts with dark coloured socks and work boots. About 12.45pm it is believed Burdon stole a black Toyota RAV4 with registration S279BBL, from Military Road at West Lakes Shore. The car is distinctive with silver roof racks and a camping awning on one side. Anyone with information on Jason Burdon’s whereabouts or possible sightings of him or the stolen Toyota is advised not to approach, but to contact the police assistance line on 131 444 or in an emergency triple zero (000).



22.01.2022 Due to a high level of overdose presentations to Flinders Medical Centre ED today from GHB, there is a concern there may be more of this GHB in the community. ...GHB is a colourless, odourless liquid of variable concentration, usually sold in small bottles or vials. It is usually swallowed, with 1 to 2mL being a common illicit dose. Overdoses with GHB can easily occur due to its potency and can cause cardio-respiratory arrest. Anyone who has taken any liquid drug must present to their closest emergency department straight away, even if they feel well and have no symptoms. Symptoms of overdosing include: unconsciousness that can last for 3 to 4 hours confusion, irritation and agitation irregular or shallow breathing blackouts and memory loss hallucinations vomiting

22.01.2022 TWO ARRESTED $800,000 SEIZED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP Criminal Groups Squad investigators have charged two men after seizing $800,000 cash during a vehicle stop in Sydney’s west yesterday. Acting on information received, officers from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor Highway stopped a white Mercedes at the intersection of Arthur and Virginia Street, Rosehill, about 6pm yesterday (Tuesday 1st December 2020).... In a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers seized a sports bag and black garbage bag containing $800,000 cash. Documentation and mobile phones were also seized. The 31-year-old male driver and 32-year-old male passenger were arrested and taken to Granville Police Station. A short time later, Criminal Groups Squad detectives, with assistance from Strike Force Raptor, executed a search warrant at a unit at William Street, Granville. During the search, police seized a money counter, a large amount of documentation, an electronic stun device and an amount of white powder. A white Toyota Hilux was also searched, with officers seizing further documentation. All items located during the operation will undergo further examination. Both men were both charged with knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, while the older man was also charged with possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit. The pair appeared at Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 2nd December 2020), where they were both formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Thursday 28th January 2021. 21.01.2022 FATAL CRASH AT MOUNT COMPASS Police are investigating a fatal crash at Mount Compass this evening. Just after 5pm on Saturday 14 November, police were called to Victor Harbor Road following a head-on crash between a Toyota sedan and a Land Rover 4WD.... The Toyota driver, an 80-year-old man from Valley View, sadly died at the scene. The driver of the Land Rover, a 48-year-old woman from Kensington Park, and her child both sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment. Victor Harbor Road was closed for several hours between Sand Mine Road and Arthur Road while Major Crash Investigators examined the circumstances surrounding the crash. The road is expected to reopen in the next hour. Anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t yet spoken to police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. The man’s death is the 78th life lost on SA roads this year compared with 96 at the same time last year.

18.01.2022 LIGHT PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING ON SOCCER FIELD NSW Police remain on scene after a light plane crashed-landed on a soccer field in the Northern Beaches today. About 4.30pm (Saturday 14th November 2020), emergency services attended the soccer fields on Cromer Park, South Creek Road, Cromer after reports a light plane was forced to conduct an emergency landing.... On arrival, officers found the pilot and his passenger out of the aircraft and suffering non life-threatening injuries. Both were treated at the scene before the pilot was taken by ambulance to Northern Beaches Hospital; his passenger was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital for a suspected broken leg. Inquiries continue.

17.01.2022 RIVERLAND DRUG ARREST A man has been arrested following the search of a home at Glossop in the Riverland. On Tuesday 1st December, police searched a home at Glossop and located a quantity of dried cannabis, drug paraphernalia and nearly $121,000 in cash.... A 64-year-old man from Glossop was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug in a school zone and money laundering. He has been bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on12th January 2021. 17.01.2022 SUSPICIOUS FIRE AT YANKALILLA SA Country Fire Service crews responded to a structure fire on Kesmiss Hill Road at Yankalilla overnight. Firefighters were alerted at 5am this morning after a Triple 000 report of a shed and vehicle alight, and on arrival CFS crews found two sheds and a vehicle fully involved in fire.... Five appliances and a Bulk Water Carrier and twenty seven firefighters attended the scene. Two sheds and a vehicle were destroyed, and the fire is being treated as suspicious. SA Police are investigating. Damage is estimated at $150,000.

16.01.2022 SEVEN HILLS DRUG BUST A man will appear in court today charged after cannabis worth nearly $430,000 was seized from a home in Sydney’s north-west following an investigation by Penrith RES. In October this year, officers from Penrith Region Enforcement Squad (RES) commenced an investigation into enhanced indoor cannabis cultivation across Sydney’s north-west.... Following extensive inquiries, Penrith RES investigators, with assistance from North West Metropolitan Operations Support Group (OSG), executed a crime scene warrant at a property at Vermont Court, Seven Hills, from 5.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 1st December 2020). During the search, police located 212 cannabis plants with an estimated potential street value of $424,000. Officers also seized equipment consistent with the cultivation and supply of cannabis. A 23-year-old man was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station, where he was charged with cultivate prohibited plant (large commercial quantity) and use/consume/waste etc electricity without authority. The man was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Wednesday 2nd December 2020). Signs of a hydro house can include; Increased security measures (roller shutters, fences, vicious dogs in the yard), Increased use of electricity, Increased use of water, Illegal connection to electrical supply, Condensation on windows, Continual running of generators and lights, Disposal of large amounts of garbage, Large quantities of chemicals and fertilisers around the premises, Locks or other methods in place to prevent access to the electricity meter box, Discarded plastic containers and strong odours (fertilisers, liquid and bagged growing cultures). 16.01.2022 MAN ARRESTED OVER GEL BLASTER INCIDENT A man was arrested at Port Adelaide this afternoon after allegedly brandishing a gel blaster outside a house. Police were called to Leadenhall Street, Port Adelaide at 4.30pm on Wednesday 14th October by reports of a man yelling and waving a firearm around.... Police, including STAR Group officers, quickly arrived at the scene and talked the four occupants out of the premises. The house was then searched and a black gel blaster was seized by police. A 26-year-old Port Adelaide man was arrested and charged with create false belief, aggravated assault and possess firearm. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow. The incident was quickly and safely resolved by police and there were no reported injuries.

16.01.2022 FATAL CRASH AT NAIRNE A man has died after a crash at Nairne. Just before 10.30pm on Sunday 17 January, police and emergency services were called to Summit Road, after reports that a Holden sedan had left the road and collided with a tree.... The driver and sole occupant, a 19-year-old Nairne man died at the scene. Major Crash investigators attended the scene, and road closures were in place for several hours but have since reopened. The man’s death is the sixth life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to five at this time last year.

15.01.2022 THREE ARRESTED AT VIRGINIA Three people were arrested and a number of firearms, vehicles and other property were seized by police during a search at a Virginia address today. Detectives from Serious Crime Taskforce. STAR Group officers and other police attended the Virginia property about 8.30am on Thursday 15th October as a result of an ongoing investigation.... Police seized property including four illegal firearms, two motorcycles, a jet ski, three vehicles, drug paraphernalia, fireworks and $800 in cash. Twenty gel blasters were also located at the address. A 34-year-old man, a 55-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman were arrested and charged with take part in a criminal organisation, theft of a motor vehicle, possess firearms without a licence and contravene a provision of the Code of Practice Firearms Act. The 34-year-old was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday 16th October. The other two people were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 31st March.

Investigators believe the RAV4 is now displaying stolen plates S817AYS. 12.01.2022 MAN STABBED AT TORRENSVILLE A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition following a stabbing at Torrensville this evening. Just after 5pm on Saturday 14th November, police were called to Henley Beach Road following reports of a violent altercation between a group of people.... When police arrived, they found one man with multiple stab wounds to his torso and arms. The 32-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment. The suspects had left in a vehicle prior to police patrols arriving. It is early in the investigation however, the incident is not believed to be random. Western District police are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

10.01.2022 HOUSE FIRE AT ELIZABETH NORTH SA Metropolitan Fire Service crews responded to a structure fire at Homington Road at Elizabeth North this afternoon. Firefighters were alerted at 5:35pm by multiple Triple 000 calls and on arrival found a room of a house well alight, and smoke issuing from the eaves of the home.... Three appliances and fourteen firefighters attended the scene and crews using breathing apparatus and high pressure lines contained the fire and saved fifty percent of the home, however the home will have to be demolished and rebuilt. Police and Fire Cause Investigators are investigating the cause of the fire. Damage is estimated at $150,000. No occupants were home at the time.

10.01.2022 MORE ARRESTS OVER SEAFORD STABBING Victoria Police Homicide Squad detectives have another person in relation to the death of a man in Seaford on Wednesday evening. The 21-year-old Somers woman’s arrest comes after two other people were charged overnight in relation to the incident.... She remains in police custody and the investigation is ongoing. Emergency services were called to Station Street about 6.55pm on 25th November following reports a man had been stabbed. A 26-year-old Langwarrin man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. A 19-year-old Somers man has been charged with murder. He appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today where he was further remanded to 25th March 2021 for a committal mention hearing. A 17-year-old male from Frankston, was yesterday charged with affray, intentionally cause injury and commit offences whilst on bail. He is currently before a Children’s Court. 09.01.2022 CRITICAL INCIDENT INVESTIGATION AFTER PURSUIT-TUGGERAH LAKES A critical incident investigation has been launched following the death of a man during a confrontation with police on the NSW Central Coast this morning. Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended Minnesota Road at Hamlyn Terrace shortly after 9am (Thursday 15th October 2020), after a stolen vehicle was tracked to the location following an earlier pursuit.... Shots were fired during a confrontation and the man died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified. A critical incident team from the Homicide Squad will now investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident. That investigation will be subject to independent review. All information will be provided to the Coroner who will determine the cause of death and make any findings about the events leading to the man’s death. A police operation continues to find a second man believed to have left the scene.

08.01.2022 MAN ARRESTED AFTER WOMANS DEATH-WENTWORTHVILLE A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead at a Wentworthville yesterday. About 2.40am (Wednesday 14th October 2020), emergency services were called to a home on Lane Street, Wentworthville, after reports a woman had been injured.... Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived to locate an unresponsive 23-year-old woman, who was unable to be revived. Cumberland Detectives assisted by the Homicide Squad formed Strike Force Palca to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. Following inquiries, about 11.00am today (Thursday 15 October 2020), police arrested a 24-year-old man at Astoria Court, Maroubra. The man was taken to Maroubra Police Station, where he is assisting with police inquiries.

08.01.2022 FATAL CRASH CLAIMS THREE LIVES-MUSWELLBROOK Three people have died, and a man is in a critical condition, following a head-on crash at Muswellbrook overnight. Just before 9.30pm (Sunday 17th January 2021), emergency services were called to Bengalla Road following a crash between a Kia Carnival and a utility.... The driver and sole occupant of the utility a man believed to be aged in his 30s died at the scene. The male driver and a female passenger in the Kia also died at the scene. They are yet to formally identified and their ages aren’t known. A passenger in the Kia, a man believed to be aged in his 60s, was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with life-threatening injuries. NSW Police from Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

07.01.2022 FATAL HOUSE FIRE-POINT COOK Arson and Explosives Squad detectives are investigating a fatal house fire that has claimed the lives of two people in Point Cook this morning. Two people, who are yet to be formally identified were located deceased inside the property on Totem Way.... Victoria Police are yet to establish if there is anyone else inside the property and arson chemists will continue examining the scene for some time. Emergency services were called to the property following reports of a house fire which had spread to nearby residences about 3.40am. The townhouse was destroyed by the blaze and two neighbouring properties were also damaged. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined however police are treating it as suspicious. 07.01.2022 CYCLIST SERIOUSLY INJURED IN HINDMARSH CRASH Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious crash this morning at Hindmarsh. Just after 8am on Thursday 15th October, patrols and paramedics were called to the intersection of Port Road and Coglin Street, after a cyclist and a Subaru SUV crashed.... The rider, a 27-year-old woman from Exeter, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious head injuries. The driver, a 50-year-old from Fulham Gardens, was not injured. 06.01.2022 $2.5 MILLION FIRE AT LEWISTON Multiple SA Country Fire Service and SA Metropolitan Fire Service crews are on scene of a structure fire on Pederick Road at Lewiston. Firefighters were alerted just before 9:30pm after Triple 000 calls reporting flames from the Rainbow Fresh Produce industrial fruit and vegetable packaging complex.... Sixty CFS and twenty four MFS firefighters responded to the scene. CFS crews arrived to find the shed engulfed in flames, and a huge effort was undertaken to stop the fire from spreading to the adjoining buildings on the premises. The shed was completely destroyed, with an estimated loss worth $2.5million. The crews were able to save the business’ offices and administration area, an amenities block and a workshop housing a lot of heavy machinery. Amongst the volunteers were a CFS HazMat crew who attended the incident to ensure the safety of personnel and the appropriate handling of any chemicals compromised by the fire. How the fire started is unknown at this stage, with Fire Cause Investigators due to attend the scene later this morning. CFS crews are expected to remain on the scene for some time.

05.01.2022 SHOTGUN,MACHETE AND KNIFE SEIZED AFTER PURSUIT-YAGOONA A man has been charged and a sawn-off shotgun, machete and knife seized following a pursuit through Sydney’s south-west overnight. The incident began when officers from Bankstown Police Area Command attempted to stop a car on Cooper Street, Yagoona, about 11.50pm on Wednesday 14th October 2020, when it was seen being driven without tail lights.... Police will allege the driver refused to stop and the vehicle was followed to the Hume Highway where it was driven through a red light, and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle was followed off the Highway and through nearby streets until it stopped in Brealsey Place and four people ran from the vehicle towards the railway line. An 18-year-old man carrying a duffle bag was arrested after a short foot pursuit. When police searched the bag they found a 12-gauge sawn-off shotgun, ammunition, a machete and a knife. The man was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he’s been charged with five offences Possess shortened firearm (not pistol) without authority Possess unauthorised firearm Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit Custody of knife in public place. The man, from Belfield, has been refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today (Thursday 15 October 2020).

05.01.2022 TRUCK PURSUIT ARREST A man has been arrested following two pursuits across Sydney’s south west today. Just before 2.20pm (Tuesday 1st December 2020), officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attempted to stop an Isuzu flat top truck on Eucalyptus Street, Macquarie Fields.... When the vehicle failed to stop, a pursuit commenced, however, it was terminated due to safety concerns. Shortly after, the truck was seen driving around Macquarie Fields Police Station and attempting to hit police vehicles and other vehicles. A second pursuit commenced which travelled through several suburbs including Macquarie Fields, Ingleburn, Minto and Leumeah, before the truck crashed into the front fence of a home on Hoddle Avenue at Bradbury. The driver exited and fled on foot. With assistance from PolAir and the Dog Unit, the 26-year-old man was found under a home on Hoddle Avenue and arrested. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station, before being taken to Campbelltown Hospital for treatment. Two vehicles were struck by the truck during the incident and sustained minor damage. 04.01.2022 FIRE AT ALBERT PARK SA Metropolitan Fire Service crews responded to a structure fire on Spad Street at Albert Park overnight. Firefighters were alerted just before 1am this morning after Triple 000 calls reporting two houses alight and arrived to find the two houses well alight.... Four appliances and one command car and eighteen firefighters attended the scene, and took over an hour to bring the blaze under control. Two occupants, one man and one woman were taken to hospital as a precaution for smoke inhalation. Fire Cause Investigators were called, and have deemed the fire accidental, in or near the carport of one of the homes. Damage is estimated at $500,000.

04.01.2022 MAN ARRESTED AFTER BREAK-IN AND THEFTS-HILLBANK Police have arrested a man following a break-in to a home and a number of cars in the Hillbank area this morning. About 6.45am on Saturday 14th November, the occupant of a Holyoake Court home awoke to the sound of someone breaking in at the rear of her premises. The homeowner spotted a man leaving on a pushbike and was able to provide a description to attending police patrols.... Northern District patrols quickly responded and conducted a search of the area, locating a man fitting the description at a nearby service station on Main North Road. The suspect was arrested after he was found wearing a jacket stolen from the victim’s home and had other stolen items in his possession from this home and other addresses. Investigations along Holyoake Court identified a number of vehicles that had been broken into and items stolen from within. Police will allege that the man also stole items from a service station. An 18-year-old man from Elizabeth Grove was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, being unlawfully on premises, three counts of theft, two counts of illegal interference of a motor vehicle and breach of bail. He was refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday. Police would like to hear from anyone that saw a man riding a black and red BMX in the Hillbank area between 5am and 7am this morning, who was described as being of Caucasian appearance, wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper, dark coloured pants and work boots. 04.01.2022 ST KILDA BURGLARY Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives are seeking public assistance to help identify a man following a burglary at a Melbourne construction site earlier this month. It is believed a man has gained entry to a construction site on St Kilda Road about 4.30pm on 15th November.... The man has then looked around multiple levels within the building. A number of power tools and copper wire were stolen from the site, valued at $300,000. The man is described as having a thin build, with black coloured pants, white and black shoes, a black backpack, hi-vis vest, black cap and gloves. Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of the man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries. 02.01.2022 TWO CHARGED OVER NORTHEN SUBURBS SHOOTING Two people have been charged following a shooting incident in the Northern suburbs this week. The shooting incident is alleged to have occurred about 2.05am on Thursday 26th November at a home on Nangari Road, Salisbury North. Later, about 2.30am a woman was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital by two people with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The 26-year-old's injury is not life-threatening.... Following an investigation by the Serious Organised Crime Branch and Northern District CIB, yesterday evening, police located and seized a white Ford Focus for forensic examination. The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old Morphett Vale woman, was arrested and has been charged with discharging a firearm, threats to cause harm and failing to identify the driver of a motor vehicle. She appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today where she was remanded to reappear at a later date. Yesterday afternoon, police located and arrested a 30-year-old Mile End man, who is allegedly a member of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, he charged with impeding an investigation, he was also charged with unrelated matters including driving a defected vehicle, property damage, theft and possessing prescription drugs without prescription. He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today. 02.01.2022 RUNAWAY DRIVER CAUGHT Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after he allegedly drove off from police in repeated incidents over several nights. Victoria Police attempted to intercept a black Holden Commodore sedan numerous times on Tuesday and Wednesday in Campbellfield and Roxburgh Park, but the driver refused to stop on each occasion.... Police located the vehicle about 1am on Wednesday 2 December before following it until it came to a stop at a residence in Davidson Street, Reservoir. When police approached the driver of the car he attempted to flee on foot, jumping over several fences before he was arrested. A 46-year-old Reservoir man has been charged with conduct endangering life, negligent driving whilst being pursued by police, suspended driving, contravene conduct conditions of bail and commit an indicatable offence whilst on bail. He will face the Broadmeadows’ Magistrates’ Court today.

02.01.2022 DUI DRIVER ESCAPES FIERY CRASH-GLENBURNIE A driver has been reported for drink driving following a crash at Glenburnie overnight. At about 10pm on Wednesday 14th October, patrols were called to Hawkins Road after a Commodore station wagon crashed into a fence and tree before catching fire.... The uninjured driver, a 50-year-old man from the south-east, was breath tested and returned an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.233 - almost five times the legal limit. He was issued with an immediate 12 month loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. His wagon was completely destroyed.

02.01.2022 POLICE HUNT FOR ESCAPEE IN CBD Police are currently searching the CBD for Jason Burdon who escaped from the Adelaide Remand Centre this morning. Police were alerted to the incident just after 10.20am on Tuesday 1st December, after he escaped from the kitchen area of the Adelaide Remand Centre on Currie Street.... Burdon (pictured) is 33-years-old and described as about 165cms, with a medium build and light brown hair. He was last seen wearing navy blue t-shirt, navy blue shorts with dark coloured socks and work boots.
