25.01.2022 Beautiful Lens, similar to Cape Leeuwen

23.01.2022 Galway-based filmmaker and photographer Hugh Sweeney started out in the field of fine art and worked in the graphics industry as a designer and manufacturer for... 15 years. After starting to make short films as a hobby in 2010, Hugh then made the leap and turned his hobby into his career. He now works as a full-time videographer and photographer focusing on providing high-quality striking visuals for all kinds of companies across Ireland and overseas. As well as commercial work projects, Hugh continues to produce his own content and has a popular YouTube channel dedicated to his own work, as well as to the art of filmmaking itself. Hugh also has a keen interest in the outdoors and nature and has found that his love of filmmaking has brought him even closer to it.

20.01.2022 7 years since my trip to England/Jersey/France to research for my book. wow time flies. South Stack in Wales was beautiful but I didn't venture down to it in the snow which was more ice than snow. On my own I might have been found in Spring.

18.01.2022 Construction of Beachy Head lighthouse

17.01.2022 Not every lighthouse is a First Order, but they don't have to be. Some of the smaller lights are amongst my favourites, and it wasn't just the flashiest that served a purpose, they all had the same. I came across this quaint little tower on the Glenelg to Skye Ferry in Scotland. Nice. Hope the links back to the original posters work. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10208585523610962&set=g.83543034457&type=1&theater&ifg=1... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1017523851695393&set=gm.10154259448894458&type=1&theater

12.01.2022 The plaque on the Cook Memorial at Point Hicks and the beautiful staircase. First time I visited here we all had to take our shoes off to go up the tower. (Staircase image: AMSA)

07.01.2022 As the light turns at Cape Byron... Thanks to a generous AMS technician for sharing.

03.01.2022 If I could spend some time at Fastnet, it wouldn't be whinging about isolation :)

03.01.2022 We're still open! The demand for travel maps is a bit lower than usual, but we have loads of other stuff. Lots of intersting books to entertain yourself with, k...ids books, wall maps or, you know, travel things to plan for the other side of all this! We'll be open until they tell us not to be. We can take orders online or over the phone to post out. Or we can do drive by pickups so you don't have to leave the car. Or you can come in, whatever you're comfortable with!

03.01.2022 Captain Cook's discovery of our home Australia is all but ignored these days. 250 years ago today (or yesterday its your choice, but that's another story) at Point Hicks https://www.facebook.com/MarkLathamsOutsiders/posts/3704412812933364
