06.01.2022 24 March 2020 To my wonderful First Step Podiatry clients, At present Podiatry is considered an essential service and First Step Podiatry will be visiting Bindoon (Thursdays) and Gingin (alternate Tuesdays) until further imposed shut downs commence. If this occurs we will contact anyone who currently has an appointment and provide updates on our Facebook page.... Currently we will remain open to provide relief to those with pain and discomfort and require the professional care of a Podiatrist during this period. If you deem your treatment as not essential at this point in time then please call to cancel or reschedule. Please be considerate of others who may be in high risk categories and need to visit the medical centres. When attending the clinic in person please follow notices related to the health centre and cancel/reschedule if you are unwell. In order to protect our patients who are most at risk and still provide Podiatric care, please call or text 0407 042 122 to cancel or reschedule if you: Have flu-like symptoms or fever OR Have been in close proximity to someone diagnosed with, awaiting test results for, or suspected of having COVID-19 OR Have returned from overseas travel in the last 2 weeks. If you wish to wait outside of the building please text 0407 042 122 when you arrive and Siobhan will come outside after cleaning of the consultation room has been completed. As always your health, wellness and safety is our number one priority and we are following the strictest hygiene standards including: Completing the Australian Government Department of Healths Infection Control Training COVID-19 Wiping down all surfaces between patients Option of waiting outside for your appointment Maintaining as much space as possible between practitioner and the patient during a consultation Encourage patients to only bring in one other person into the consult room and only if required Hand sanitiser is available to use by patients before and after a consult Encouraging cashless payments and paypass where possible We are investigating ways to do some consults via video conference i.e. Messenger/Whatsapp for a selection of conditions such as; Primary biomechanical - where assessment can be done via video and off the shelf orthoses or in shoe padding can be mailed, Strength/stretch programs which can be implemented at home Nail and callous/corn treatments will require professional treatment in person. 04.01.2022 Tonkin highway now open to Muchae drove on the new road last night straight from bindoon to great eastern highway. Was lovely except having to do 60km/hr on great eastern highway, soooo slooowww after such a nice fast/steady pace.

I have a new software package to allow telehealth and the personalised prescription of exercise programs via a dedicated app to strengthen your feet and lower limbs.
