04.01.2022 Please see photos from our Albany Grading Exam, held on Saturday 15/08/20. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the current WA border restrictions, Master Vernon Low was unable to attend the Exam. However, First TaeKwonDo is committed to the ongoing development and progression of all members - therefore the students were assessed by our WA Chief Instructor, Dane Meade. Chief Instructor Dane, who has 39 consecutive TaeKwonDo years' training under his belt, conducted the co...mprehensive Grading Exam for those Albany students who applied to sit the recent Exam. During the hour-and-a-half long Exam, our Albany students were assessed on their knowledge and execution of various aspects of the First TaeKwonDo syllabus. Areas assessed included: hyungs (patterns), kicking combinations, fixed sparring combinations, semi-fixed sparring and free sparring (defending and counter-attacking skills). Congratulations to the successful applicants, who earned their promotions to the next rank in our traditional TaeKwonDo school.
