From memory the first prototype Deception Scampi’s were made in 1995 for a trip with a few mates down to Mulwala, when I got back I gave a couple to Brian Burke, the general manager at Compleat Angler. He fell in love with the lure and said Paul ya got to make! So we did! Here we are 25 years later and I can’t believe this is the first time I’m doing a run of them with an Aluminium bib, I also can’t believe how much better it swims with an Aluminium bib, wider action at slower speed & a much quicker dive rate. To mark the Occassion I am engraving on the bib 1st Edition I have done a decent size batch this time, so there should be plenty to go around. I have painted 12 different colours, some new, some twists on old classics using UV paint & 2 semi transparent patterns. Cheers Paul
