22.01.2022 If you are heading away this long weekend remember to keep up to date with any travel restriction by visiting: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/travel-restrictions-covid-19 Also, continue maintaining social distancing of 1.5mtrs (if not we have a great tool to help with this), practice good hygiene, stay home if you feel unwell and drive safe on the roads

19.01.2022 CFA has received a number of calls from community members regarding bonfires to mark the ‘Spark in the Dark’ event this evening. We appreciate those who are tha...nking our frontline workers, but urge you to keep fire safety front of mind. As today’s conditions are windy in some areas we are urging those who wish to participate to not do so by lighting bonfires or using fire pits. If you are choosing to light a candle, please ensure it is monitored by an adult and extinguished properly. You might like to mark the event by using a torch or outside light. Thank you and stay safe.
18.01.2022 Training a little differently As restrictions lift slightly our members are allowed to attend training again at the fire station, but as limited numbers need to be adhered to, members names were pulled from a bag to decide who gets to come to training tonight. ...we do what we gotta do...

15.01.2022 Some jobs are just rubbish, but luckily today the quick thinking driver pulled his truck over at a clearing when he saw smoke billowing out the back, and with fire-fighters not far away we got him to dump his load so were able to extinguish the fire. The rubbish is being orgainsed to be pick back up to continue it’s journey later today.
15.01.2022 As restrictions begin to ease and we venture out of our tracky dacks, make sure you turn off your beauty items and place them in a safe place to avoid a fire starting.

All our volunteers are temperature checked before getting on the Trucks and we will all be wearing a mask using hand sanitiser and keeping our distance (1.5mtrs where practical) Unfortunately we are unable to conduct our Thursday night training sessions so you wont see us hanging around the station as much, but we will continue to keep our skills up by completing online training.

Check you’re not overloading power-boards or have loose cables, ensure monitors, laptops, televisions and other equipment have a good air flow around them and are not in confined spaces or covered for example leaving laptops and mobile phones on your beds
