The Owls of Nebraska use a multi modal approach to making experimental art work that explores thematic concepts ranging from post-punk protest art through to sci fi and extra terrestrial theory. They recently received a Quick Response Grant ...from Regional Arts Victoria to undertake an Artist in Residency at Testing Grounds, in Southbank Melbourne. Local artist Kim McDonald is an employee at the Fish Creek Hotel and also a regular collaborator with the Owls group as performance artist Kimu. McDonald’s interdisciplinary aesthetic will give form to a print-media installation piece in the multivalent exhibition. See more

10.01.2022 Title: Gippsland Naturally Fish Creek Hotel ArtSpace1 is pleased to be currently showcasing artworks by long-time local artist Teresa Murphy. Teresa has produced this winter collection of local scenes, flora and fauna using mediums of earth pigments and acrylic. This is following on from her success over summer, where all her artworks sold out at YEP Gallery, Foster. These new works by this award-winning artist demonstrate the versatility, texture and intricate detail Teres...a is able to capture using natural, locally sourced earth, rocks and organic materials from which she derives the pigments used. Her enjoyment and enthusiasm of working with earth pigments is evident in Teresa’s art, as she draws on her experiences of growing up and living locally to celebrate the scenic beauty & uniqueness and to provide an intriguing glimpse of South Gippsland. Everyone is invited to call in to view Teresa Murphy’s winter collection throughout July, August & September. See more
