25.01.2022 Really looking forward to this weekend all! The response has been overwhelming and really touching (even though the attendee list on the event doesn't directly reflecting that). Catch you Saturday. https://www.facebook.com/events/418806648255010/?ref=22

25.01.2022 We’ve always said Josh should release atleast two solo albums. The first would be called Four Strings and Me and then, due to massive public demand, the highly anticipated follow up Thumb 2 Bass would finally be released, but only on vinyl.

24.01.2022 Looks like media giants 'The Leader' caught on to our show and featured us (we told them and Jane Dyson sorted out the article) in the latest edition. For the record, my direct quote about 'an emotional show' was : "No, I don't think it'll be an emotional last show. We've had 2 years to get use to the idea of not playing in FisherKing. It’ll be fun more than anything. Nothing worse than 4 grown men crying on stage." (Paul)

18.01.2022 Our first EP was recorded in 2008 in one week. 5 tracks in 5 days. I’m no math guy, but that’s about 2 songs a day or something like that. This was the first time I’d been in a ‘real’ recording studio and I was way too excited. In between takes I’d try and photograph as much as I could - this was before the ‘gram so the photos were mostly just for me and friends on the mailing list. I took these of Sam recording his parts for And Back to War in one of our last sessions. At the time, it felt like a significant moment. We were on the home stretch and we could feel it all coming together. Watching Sam really bring this song to life was a lot of fun. It’s still one of my favourite songs to listen to and to play. - Paul

15.01.2022 I found an alternate design for the Final FisherKing Show poster... I like it better.

13.01.2022 6 years ago, when we had our ‘Final Show’ and we thought that’d be the end of FisherKing as it was. We had our memories, our friendships and some music that we are really proud of. And for the last six years, that’s pretty much all we talked about when we got together - that time we got run out of a pub in Port Macquarie, that time a massive Hen’s party rocked up to our show ready to party and made our day, and that time the bar staff swore at me for telling them, from the st...age, to stop packing up during our set. You know, all the good stuff! To be able to Circle (album pun) back six years later on a whim and have all our friends, family and (dare I say it) fans, come down to the Brass Monkey, pack the place out and see us do it all again was nothing short of incredibly special. All we can say is Thank you. Thank you to all that came down to watch, helped on the night and all who have supported use over the years. It meant so much to us as friends to be able to get together and revisit these songs and reconnect. It meant even more to be able to share them with people who enjoy our music. So, again, thank you. These days, all our recordings are on Spotify. Check them out or get reacquainted because, you never know, we might be back for a Final Final FINAL show sometime in the next 6 years! Here’s are some photos from the night - starting with one taken after the show, after drinks, after packup and before passing out. [Big thanks to Lisa Diederich for the photos!] Love from Sam, Josh, Luke & Paul. P.S. If you’ve got photos and videos from the night, send them over or spam our page! We’d love to see them.

09.01.2022 5th November, 2010, we released ‘Circles’. After recording across 6 months, in and out of the studio between tours, we had our first full length album. I remember the day we got all the masters, we went back to Josh’s unit, piled in with family and friends and listened through the album together. It felt like such an achievement after all the hard work we’d put in. These songs that had been in the works for a year, tested at shows and refined on the road - to hear it all come together was really special. We’re still really proud of it. Celebrate the 10 year anniversary by having a listen through today. Hit the link in the bio.

03.01.2022 This photo was taken at one of our first band practices. Josh was able to get us access to this warehouse and so we’d set up in the mezzanine, with a makeshift sounds system letting the sound bounce aggressively off the cement walls and back to us. Most of us had played in bands with each other in the past, but at this point we were starting with a clean slate. Just trying to find a sound together.

03.01.2022 This November, it’ll be 10 years since we released our album ‘Circles’. This photo was taken in our friend’s backyard a few months before it came out. We couldn’t wait to share it with everyone. Now, 10 years on, it felt like this photo was fitting. In a time of lockdowns, zoom calls and home studios, we decided to re-record some of our favourite tracks from ‘Circles’ and some new music as well. We can’t wait to share them with you.

03.01.2022 Hey, what's every one doing next February 28th? ... just asking for a friend.

02.01.2022 Thank you, all. Thank you to all that were involved in our final show and all that came down to make our night truly special. The room couldn’t have been more full with friends, good times and memories. We will not forget that show - it was definitely one of the best. Thanks to all that have supported FisherKing over the years - whether it be through coming to our shows, buying/downloading our music or telling a friend about us. We couldn’t and wouldn’t have done it withou...t you. Thank you for giving us the good times we had, giving us the opportunity to see Australia and share our music. For that, we will be forever thankful. We leave you with my favourite photo of us. If by some weird series of events you’ve never checked out our album, please download Circles for free via the Music tab on our fb page. Enjoy & Thank you once again. Luke, Josh, Paul & Sam
