08.01.2022 Sorry i have not put up many posts yet but i have been undertaking some maintenance after our 11hr crossing of Bass Straight to King Island. I cant thank the Ki...ng Island community enough, such a warm welcome on arrival, when I heard Fish For Life being called on the UHF to find out if we were ok, I was taken back and astounded, being that we were 4hrs late! I knew that we we had people who cared and are genuine through and through. I would like to thank all the people from the King Island community who waited for us to arrive and then dropped everything to help a total stranger in need, including stocking of provisions and fuel. Words can not express the warmth i have felt from this community. Tonight at the King Island Boat Club we enjoyed a delicious spit and great company, Alan enjoyed the night as well. King Island Pat yourselves on the Back, you raised a good amount for the Cancer Council and you are a force to be reckoned with. Bellow are some pics from my visit. If you are looking for a holiday please put King Island on the top of your list as I know Ken, Dave and I will be back. See more
