23.01.2022 On the weekend I fished on board Zorro in the Port Hacking 100 tournament. We worked nth of Sydney up to Broken Bay from 100-500 fathoms. On both days we had fairly large patches of sauries with plenty of dolphins, pilot whales and gannets to be seen. The water temp ranged from 19-21 degrees. Day 1 we hooked up and tagged a stripe marlin on 15kg that was around 70kg and marked another one around the saurie schools. Day 2 we marked a couple of marlin throughout the day and man...aged to tag a stripe around 100kg on 15kg in the last 30 minutes of the tournament. With so much life out there it looks great for the upcoming broken bay tournament. I’m sure we will see a good mix of stripe marlin, blue marlin and yellowfin tuna over the next few weeks.
