11.01.2022 If you visit us recently you must have noticed a side wall of the Fish Shack has been having some amazing make over. We are truly blessed to have had her with us for a short while. This is the story from the artist: My name's Emily -- I've been working on this painting project on weekends for a bit now.... I used to work for The Fish Shack, and honestly, I applied for a role because it was close to home, I was finishing college and desperate for some cash. To my surprise though, I actually enjoyed the job. The people that run this little stand-alone orange shack in the city are kind-hearted and unpretentious -- passionate about their food and the reasons behind making it. I found myself wanting to give back in whatever way I could. Art has always been a hobby of mine -- a hobby, a release, a therapy, a friend, or sometimes a trap of sorts. And it was the best way I could see to contribute back. I wanted people to see the place the same way I saw it. To create something welcoming and friendly that would stand out from the grey boxes -- telling a story about the local homegrown nature of the place, the passion for our planet that drives it, whilst remaining true to the sea-based "fish shack" it's been built from. So, I'll be painting all three outdoor walls with a sea theme -- depicting ocean species close to my heart. I hope that people will look at the images and it'll remind them of the importance of preservation, of caring for our beautiful earth and the creatures that inhabit it with us. If not that, sparking a bit of interest in someone's life is close enough. The whales are part 1 of 3: progress photos to the right! @ The Fish Shack

09.01.2022 This Fish Shack Vegan Sunday we will be serving up a special menu that will include a rice paper rolls pack, a baos pack, 2 new burgers and a dessert! It will be held on the 27th of May 2018 from 11:00am with the last food order being taken at 7:30pm. The Fish Shack will be open during its normal closing time between 4pm-5pm. May is the international respect for chickens month so we will be fundraising for A Poultry Place by donating 10% of sales from the day. To ensure ther...e is no cross-contamination, the oil of the deep fryer will be changed in the morning and no animal products will be used. Hope to see you all there!
