17.01.2022 Tyreze's first fish . T had been hassling me to go fishing for a while so thought we'd head out during the holidays. He grabbed one of his footy mates who's al...so a keen fisherman & jumped on board with Darryl & Fish Tale charters to do a bit of fishing up the inlet. Went & grabbed some live mud herrings, then tried out a few spots around the place. Angus picked up 2 small cod early on, I picked up a small mangrove jack, T dropped supposedly a nice queenfish early on, but nailed a nice 4kg Golden Travelly on our way back (see video). Boys had a great morning, already trying to work out how to get out on a charter out the reef next time. Darryl was a great guide, great info, stories & knows everything about fishing. They're doing it tough, so if you've been thinking about going on a charter, jump on board & support our local businesses. We made lightly floured fish bites from our fillets for lunch on fresh bread, then boiled up the backbone n head for all the sweet leftovers especially the eyes. Heaps of meat on there, make some fritters up later. T wishes you were here koro to see him. He was a bit lost & clunky but he got there & we'll definitely dust off the rod in the shed & go out more often.
