25.01.2022 The NT Chief Minister has just announce that borders will open for intrastate travel with no mandatory quarantine required on July 17. Now you can look forward to escaping the cold, visit the NT and get out fishing.

24.01.2022 BREAKING: Travellers from Brisbane, and other declared parts of Queensland and NSW, can cross the Territory's borders freely once more, with the NT's Chief Health Officer revoking their hot spot status.

21.01.2022 HOT SPOT AREA OF PORT STEPHENS REVOKED The NT Chief Health Officer has officially revoked the hotspot area of Port Stephens, NSW for the purpose of travel to the NT. From today, 21 August 2020, people arriving to the NT from Port Stephens will not have to enter mandatory quarantine. 20.01.2022 Awesome news that the NT is now open to most of Australia with the exception of Melbourne. Great job to our Victorians friends who did the hard yards to get on top of a covid situation they should have never been put in. Shouldn't be too long and we will open up to Melbourne also. Time to plan a fishing trip??

15.01.2022 Check out this sequence of shots captured back in 2012 by guide Chris Jones fishing the Run off in Kakadu. Angler was Perry Proeger, Barra went 122cm and 22kg. 122cm of Barra fully airborne, that's what it's all about.

The facts are unless you are in a designated hot spot you are welcome to the NT, fishing trips are still running and the fish are still biting. 11.01.2022 Time for some good news. The go ahead has been given for charters to commence again. Borders are still closed so this is only for people in the territory but its a move in a positive direction. With social distancing of 1.5 metres still to be adhered to pricing and numbers may be affected but in the next few days some options will be available. Looking to get out for a fish just let us know.

11.01.2022 Aussies Legends Whilst we have been working with all that had trips booked for the next few months to reschedule and work towards positive outcomes for all, at a time when it is hard to see many positives, you have been truly amazing. You have backed us, rescheduled with no hesitation or are working amicably towards a plan going forward. Myself and the guides and businesses I work with can't thank you enough. We will get through this together and hope we are all back on the water sooner rather than later. Whilst there isn't going to be fish photos popping up in your feeds for a while don't forget about us and if you are thinking that you will be up for a fishing trip when the dust settles we will still be here waiting to hear from you. 09.01.2022 ICYMI: MILLION DOLLAR FISH: Territory fishos will have even better odds at catching a prized barra with a seventh million dollar fish tagged in this year's comp...etition. Organisers hope the increased odds will entice more anglers to wet a line and help the fishing industry recover from COVID-19.

08.01.2022 Ben from Vision Sportfishing sent me through a few dozen pics of some quality Barra from this year Run Off so far, here's a couple of them. As always Ben is working tirelessly to put clients onto their fish of a lifetime. What a Run Off this year is proving to be and the way its looking we will have great Run Off fishing until mid May at least.

06.01.2022 Late afternoon on the 21st of March the Northern Territory Government announce that anyone entering the Territory after 4pm on 24 March is required to quarantine for a period of 14 days. These are trying times for all, and for Territory tourism it’s going to be a hard slog, we will get through this and when the dust is settles we will be back out there working hard to get you on the water and back fishing. For those with trips booked we will be in touch as I am sure you can... appreciate we have a bit to get our heads around and lots of emails & phone calls to deal with. Hopefully this will all be over sooner rather than later, stay safe and look after each other.
