17.01.2022 When you are a young person, you are like a young creek, and you meet many rocks, many obstacles, and difficulties on your way. You hurry to get past these obs...tacles and get to the ocean. But as the creek moves down through the fields, it becomes larges and calmer and it can enjoy the reflection of the sky. Its wonderful. You will arrive at the sea anyway so enjoy the journey. Enjoy the sunshine, the sunset, the moon, the birds, the trees, and the many beauties along the way. Taste every moment of your daily life. ~ Thch Nht Hnh, Good Citizens: Creating Enlightened Society Photo by: BaraChouinard lis

13.01.2022 The corona virus has reminded us the importance of having healthy Lungs. Heres a simple meditation method to strengthen your Lungs and maintain them in good h...ealth. Meditation on Strengthening the Health and Function of the Lungs Method i. Sit relaxed in meditation mode, with your palms facing upwards on your lap in your favourite hand posture. I would recommend the fingers in Apan mudra position where the tip of the thumb touches the tip of the middle and fourth finger and the rest in of the fingers straight. Reason is it has a descending force and will help the Lung qi to descend. So this mudra is not for pregnant woman who are in their 1st-8th month of pregnancy. ii. Bring a light focus on your Lungs iii. Slowly inhale and use your mind intent to bring in energy together with the air (oxygen) to fill up the Lungs, rather like a balloon. iv. Hold for several seconds as this will help to oxygenate the blood. The time of holding the breath is up to you. Listen to your body and dont force yourself. v. Exhale completely so that all the old stagnant qi is completely pushed out. Repeat for as long as you need. vi. Visualise and feel the presence of your lungs. vii. Slowly inhale and feel the external energy thats drawn in envelope the lungs viii. Slowly exhale and sink the energy into the lungs. As you do this, simultaneously relax your lungs to allow maximum absorption of the energy. The place that you practise meditation should be well ventilated and the air should not be cold or damp.

01.01.2022 When I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness. I would... almost say that they save me, and daily. I am so distant from the hope of myself, in which I have goodness, and discernment, and never hurry through the world but walk slowly, and bow often. Around me the trees stir in their leaves and call out, Stay awhile. The light flows from their branches. And they call again, It’s simple, they say, and you too have come into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled with light, and to shine. ~ Mary Oliver - Luminescent tree - DI Photography by Byron Bauer/MondoDiverso
