I was pretty down thinking of all my celebratory moments & 2 weeks off work. -... - I jumped on the scales & took my pics & couldn’t believe I had made progress. Over bloody Christmas - - I messaged my gf who I wanna shout out to for my amazing tan @beautybydebbie_ I said you were right when you tanned me yesterday. I’ve lost weight. - - Her response was positive but what she said blew my mind. She said I wish I had your body. Which I want to 1st say. Deb you’re gorgeous. Own your sh!t. 05.01.2022 COOKIE CUTTER DIETS - - I was baffled today when I was scrolling through my feed to find a major fitness influencer, who I have personally met a few years back. Advertising their 1200 calorie diet. -... - The amount of people I meet that have attempted these 1200 calorie diets, lost the weight & rebounded (myself included) is just crazy. - - Restricting someone to that level of a deficiency has so many potential issues. Extreme hunger, fatigue, headaches, training issues because you have no energy, nutrient deficiency, slows your metabolism, loss of period. I could go on all day. - - If you’re someone looking to lose weight. Please do not start any program where they don’t customise it by asking some questions. Such as your age, height, weight, activity level, favourite foods, mental health & history of eating (not eating, binging, yo-yo dieting etc). - - Education is key. Learn macros. Learn calories. But life has gotten in the way & like many of us, she reverted back to bad habits & putting herself last. -... - We spoke about how the mental side is the biggest battle. Anyone can start a diet. Anyone can pull of a 8-12 week transformation. But if you don’t do the self love & mental work, rebound is imminent. - - So I’ll end with one of my favourite analogies I like to use & one close to my journey. If you only love yourself at 50% & someone comes along & offers you 60% of what you deserve. You’ll believe they are amazing. So go back & do the work to get you to 100% self love. 02.01.2022 YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT - - I was asked a question the other day. How have you lost so much weight, when I haven’t even seen you training hard in the gym? -... - The answer is simple.... You can train as hard as you like but if your nutrition is bad, you’re not going to get very far. - - How did I do it? I changed my diet. I stopped eating foods that made me feel like crap. I started eating predominately fresh foods & ditched the take out. I stopped making excuses like I’m too busy.... I meal prepped my lunches so I didn’t get stuck on busy days without food. - - These small changes to my diet made a huge impact on my weightloss & bloating issues. I wasn’t trying to lose weight. 01.01.2022 DEFINITION CREW - - You knew me from 2019 as the girl who would fill in classes. But 2020 I was lucky enough to come aboard permanently. -... - Not only did you make me feel welcome. But you encouraged me to grow as a trainer. - - You taught me to love 50’s & 60’s music. Who would have thought you could run a class to Elvis & The Beach Boys. But we did & we did it having a blast. - - I just want to mention to anyone reading this who is a non member of @definitiongymblacktown . There is 1 person under 50 who does my classes here. There average age is 50-80 years. Some of them have every reason to not bother, but they don’t. They turn up every day & have a go. - - To my Definition crew reading this, I want you all to know how proud I am of you all & how grateful I am to have crossed paths with you.
