24.01.2022 Want to satisfy your sweet tooth the healthy way? Try these RAW ESPRESSO BROWNIE CUPCAKES INGREDIENTS Raw, Organic Dark Chocolate 200g Instant Coffee 2 Tbs... Just Boiled Water 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar 1 Cup 3 Eggs Olive Oil 1/2 Cup Vanilla Essence 1 tsp Wholemeal Plain Flour 1/2 Cup Raw Cocoa Powder 1/4 Cup Baking Powder 1/2 Tsp FROSTING Raw Chocolate 200g Sour Cream 1/2 Cup METHOD 1. Pre heat oven to 180'C and line 2 muffin trays 2. Melt chocolate in a bowl over boiling water 3. Mix coffee into just boiled water and let cool 4. in a large bowl beat sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla until thick and pale. 5. Gradually add melted chocolate 6. fold in sifted dry ingredients and cooled coffee 7. spoon mixture into muffin trays and bake for 20 mins. Keep checking your muffins as the RAW chocolate will burn quicker than regular cooking chocolate. To make the frosting, melt chocolate as above and add the sour cream while it is still warm. let it cool slightly before spooning it into a piping bag and decorating as desired.

20.01.2022 I'm sure you have all heard Shane raving about this Vegetarian Korma in your training sessions and 'Nutrition Coaching Calls' so here it is! VEGETARIAN KORMA Ingredients: 1/4 cup flaked almonds 2 large sweet potatoes ... coconut oil 1 onion 2 cloves of garlic 1 knob of ginger 1/2 bunch fresh coriander 1 fresh chilli 400g can chickpeas Natural UNSWEETENED greek yoghurt 2 Tbs of Korma curry paste 1.5 TBS Quinoa per person ANY VEGGIES YOU LIKE! (We use cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, carrot and peas) METHOD: 1. Lightly toast the almonds in a dry pan, then remove from the heat and put aside. 1.5 cook Quinoa according to packet instructions 2. Heat 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in a pan, add diced onion, garlic, coriander and chilli. Grate ginger into the pan as well. 3. Peel and cut sweet potato into 4cm chunks and add to the pan. 4. Once onion is transparent, add Korma paste and stir through. 5. Add chickpeas (juice and all) with 1/2 cup of water. 6. Prepare other vegetables into bite size pieces and add to the pan. Turn the heat to low and put the lid on. (this will help to steam your vegetables). If you find that the liquid is evaporating too quickly, 1/2 a cup more water. 7. once the vegetables are cooked to your desired texture, remove from the heat and add one tablespoon of the greek yoghurt. 8. Serve on top of Quinoa and add toasted almonds and 1 teaspoon of yoghurt on top if desired.

18.01.2022 Check out this Zucchini Spaghetti with Tomato and Cashew Sauce! It is completely gluten free, vegetarian and a low carb option that feels like your are still having a hearty pasta dish! A special thanks to our client Raquel for sharing this recipe with us. WE LOVED IT!!! Ingredients: 2 zucchinis spiraled 4 tomatoes... Handful of cashews Fresh basil 1 garlic clove Add tomatoes, cashews, basil and garlic to a blender, pulse slightly. Heat in a saucepan. Plate up warm pasta sauce on top of cold zucchini spirals. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese if desired.

Protein loaded and delicious! 1 cup cashews/sliced almonds or macadamia nuts... 3/4 cup water 3 Tbs lemon juice 1teaspoon salt 1 garlic clove Soak nuts for 1 hour. Blend all ingredients until smooth. Heat if desired.

12.01.2022 Southwest Meatball Skillet INGREDIENTS: 1 lb ground turkey breast... 2 large egg whites 1/4 cup whole-wheat bread crumbs 1/4 tsp sea salt 1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper 2 tsp olive oil 1 cup frozen yellow or white corn 1 15-oz BPA-free can low-sodium black beans, drained and rinsed well 2 cups diced vine-ripened tomatoes 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth 1 tbsp fresh lime juice 1 tsp ground cumin 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander INSTRUCTIONS: In a large bowl, combine turkey, egg whites, bread crumbs, salt and pepper and mix well. Shape into 16 meatballs, each about the size of a golf ball. In a large skillet, heat oil on medium-high. Add meatballs and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, turning frequently, until browned on all sides. Add corn, beans, tomatoes, broth, lime juice and cumin and mix well. Reduce heat to medium, partially cover and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, until meatballs are cooked through. Stir in corriander and serve. Nutrients per serving (4 meatballs and 1 cup corn-bean mixture): Calories: 320, Total Fat: 4.5 g, Sat. 08.01.2022 Sweet potato & haloumi with zucchini "fettuccine" Ingredients 550g sweet potato, peeled, cut into 1.5cm pieces 11/2 tbs olive oil... 1/4 cup low-fat Greek yoghurt 3 tsp lemon juice 2 tsp white balsamic vinegar 250g light haloumi, cut into 1.5cm-thick batons 4 (about 900g) zucchini, peeled into ribbons 1/2 cup mint leaves, chopped, plus extra leaves to garnish 1/2 cup continental parsley, chopped 2 tbs chopped almonds, toasted Steps Preheat oven to 190C. Place sweet potato on a lined tray and drizzle with half the oil. Season and toss to combine. Roast, stirring halfway through cooking, for 30 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile, combine yoghurt, lemon juice and balsamic vinegar in a bowl. Season. Preheat a barbecue or chargrill on medium-high. Spray haloumi with olive oil. Cook, turning, for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm. Combine zucchini and remaining oil in a bowl. Season. Chargrill zucchini, in 2 batches, gently tossing, for 1-2 minutes or until just tender. Combine sweet potato, haloumi, zucchini, chopped mint and parsley in a bowl. Drizzle with yoghurt mixture. Sprinkle with mint leaves and almonds.

08.01.2022 We have been absolutely loving Lemon and Ginger tea these cold winters days. Not only does it taste amazing and warm the stomach, but it has some pretty awesome digestive benefits as well. 08.01.2022 MARINATED WASABI AND SOY TOFU WITH GARLIC MUSHROOMS AND GREENS Wether you are vegetarian or trying tofu for the first time, this is a great recipe loaded with flavour. (Shane wasn't sure if he would ever try tofu but he loved this recipe) INGREDIENTS 1 block firm tofu... 1tbs wasabi 1/2 cup soy sauce 2 cloves garlic 2 lemons 500g mushrooms Asian greens Coconut oil METHOD 1. Mix juice of lemons, wasabi, garlic and soy in a large bowl 2. Dice tofu into 2cm chunks and place in sauce mixture. Cover bowl and leave it in the fridge for 2 hours 3. Slice mushrooms and greens 4. Fry mushrooms and greens until wilted and remove from the pan 5. Drain the tofu, keeping the marinade 6. Fry tofu until golden and remove from pan 7. Place marinade in pan and bring to the boil. 8. Layer all ingredients in a bowl and add boiled marinade to taste. ENJOY :) let us know what you think of this recipe

06.01.2022 Stuck for a healthy dinner option? Try this chilli and lime salmon with orange and honey salad... It was AMAZING!

05.01.2022 THAI BUTTERNUT SQUASH CURRY Wonderfully aromatic recipe that zings with flavour (serves 2-3)... INGREDIENTS 1 tin (400ml) of lite coconut milk 2 medium red onions, sliced 2-3 cloves of garlic, chopped tsp of cumin Thumb-sized piece of ginger 1-2 small green or red chillies, deseeded and chopped 4-6 lime leaves, chopped cauliflower 1 small butternut squash 10-16 sugarsnap peas 4 shallots, sliced Large handful of coriander, chopped 2 limes for squeezing Salt and pepper to taste Brown Rice Preparation time 5mins Cooking time 25mins Equipment Large, preferably heavy-based saucepan DIRECTIONS Peel and slice the onions into approx 1cm chunks. Peel, deseed and chop the butternut squash into 3cm chunks. Cut the cauliflower into 30mm florets. Fine chop the chilli, ginger, garlic and lime leaves (or lime zest and lime juice). In your large pan, add the coconut milk. Bring to a simmer and add the onions, chilli, ginger, garlic and cumin. Cook for 3mins to infuse the flavours. Stir in the butternut squash and cauliflower florets. These will take around 10mins to cook, so while they are cooking prepare the crispy shallots. In the frying pan with minimal oil, add the sliced shallots and fry until golden and crispy, giving an occasional stir. Keep on one side until the curry is cooked. Rinse and boil some Thai jasmine rice. Test that the vegetables are cooked enough in the curry by piercing with a sharp knife. Add the chopped lime leaf, sugarsnap peas and chopped coriander and stir in. Check and adjust the seasoning to your taste. Serve piping hot into bowls with the crispy shallots on top, accompanied by the rice and wedges of lime for squeezing.

01.01.2022 Honestly, right now, I'm as happy as one can be. You can have all the money in the world and still not feel as happy and satisfied with your life as what I'm feeling right now! I'm meditating every morning and visualising how I want my body to look, and guess what... Every morning I've awoke this year, I've woken up to a better physique, and it's that right there that makes me feel so amazingly awesome! However, there's a caviart to this near "enlightened" state of feeling, ...for the average person it might seem impossible to achieve because of what I've had to do to make my body not just change overnight, everyday for 6 weeks, but change DRAMATICALLY every single day for 6 weeks, and that caviart may seem like hard, hellish work and discipline that you don't think you can manage, let alone even start to try and manage. Here's what I say to that... "BULLSHIT!" This is my Planet Earth, and it's the best god Damn planet in the Universe! I'm a mother fucking Super Earthling! So are you! So why should you & me live in a state of mediocroty, far below average in terms of happiness, health & fitness as what the Universe has intended for us? It's not that we shouldn't. It's that we mustn't! So here's my little task for you today.... When you go to work today or do what ever it is that you do on a daily basis, every hour I want you to ask yourself 1. Is this what I call absolute happiness right here, right now? 2. Has this last hour been improving the health of my body, mind & spirit, or not? 3.
