22.01.2022 Preparation is key when it comes to eating well. One way I make sure I am not going to binge on unhealthy food is to prepare food for the week ahead on the weekend (usually Sunday) that I can take to work with me. As you can see, I make quite a mess in the kitchen too!

19.01.2022 GRATEFUL............ This morning was an early start. My daughter woke early and needed comforting to get back to sleep. As I rocked her I realised one day she won't need me to do this, what a magical moment this was, one to treasure. I took this thought, this feeling, of being truly grateful with me as I took advantage of already being awake and did a workout. 18.01.2022 When I changed my mindset, I changed my results. My postnatal journey back to exercise has had many obstacles to navigate, as I'm sure many mum's can appreciate. Whilst I am continuing to get fitter and stronger my body is definitely different to pre pregnancy. I distinctly remember one day when I was lifting my daughter up from the ground and I realised I wasn't struggling like I used to, I could feel how strong my body was. ... Yes, those workouts were paying off, even if I couldn't see the changes, they were happening. From that day on I focused on the feelings, the energy, the positive vibes I get from exercising and now I can see the changes too. #postnatalfitness #fitmumlife #fitmum #embraceyourbody #fitlifesistas #firsttimemum #lovemybody #moveyourbody #postnatalexercise

15.01.2022 Lunchtime! YUM!! I got a little creative in the kitchen this week. This is my Cauliflower Fried Rice creation. I love that cauliflower is such a versatile vegetable. I blitzed this in my Vitamix, chopped an assortment of veggies, stir fried with some fresh herbs and spices. So quick, easy, tasty, and full of veg.

07.01.2022 This quote really resonates with me. It reminds me how powerful the mind is. A few years ago I ran the City to Bay. I was nursing an injury, suffering from some gut health issues and my training leading up to the event wasn't great but I had made a commitment to a friend that I would run with her.... On the day, my run was terrible. It was warmer than usual, I wasn't finding my stride and running with thousands of other people is quite different to running on your own or with a friend. About half way through I remember thinking how am I going to get to the end? I can't do this there's too many people it's too hot you're such an embarrassment, you're supposed to be fit Then something amazing happened. A little voice said YOU ARE DOING THIS! And I realised I was running, I can do this. An amazing amount of energy surged through me my motivation to keep going soared and I finished the run What if we directed our minds to what is possible instead of letting our mind give up? Let me know when have you taken control of your mind and achieved something you didn't think you were capable of?

02.01.2022 Look Up! What a glorious morning to enjoy going for a run , thanks to my amazing husband who tended to our daughter. As I was running, being grateful for all that I have and saying my incantations, I looked up and saw a glorious sunrise ... How many times have I not looked up to see the beauty all around me?
