18.01.2022 STRETCH/FOAM ROLLING: Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. It can also help with posture, decreases injury risk, promotes blood circulation and so much more. Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release (SMR) technique. It can help relieve muscle tightness, soreness, and inflammation, and increase your joint range of motion. Foam rolling can be an effective tool to add to your warm-u...p or cooldown, before and after exercise. And the benefits of foam rolling may vary from person to person. Thinking how many muscles we have in the body (more that 650!), it may be daunting to know what to do. 13.01.2022 MASK & GYM PROTOCOLS: We are doing everything we can to keep our gym a safe place to train. We clean the equipment and gym thoroughly, wipe down high contact areas at regular intervals, full gym sanitising fog daily, as well as a whole list of other cleaning protocols to keep this place squeaky clean. The rest is up to you guys! So please make sure you: Wear a mask (see guidelines below) Stay 1.5m apart from other members... Sanitise your hands on arrival (as well as throughout the session as needed) Wipe down all equipment before and after use with either wipes or with the alcohol spray provided and wipe down with your towel. Bring a towel to ALL sessions! Follow common Hygiene practises & stay home if you are unwell! MASK PROTOCOLS (In line with DHHS & Fitness Australia) A face covering MUST be worn before and after exercise. In the gym: You MUST wear a face must UNLESS you are anticipating you will be out of breath or puffing. This is interpreted on an individual basis, as different movements and intensities are felt at different levels by a person. In classes: Same as above. If you are anticipating the movements undertaking in class will make you short of breath or puffed, you do NOT need to wear a mask. However, you must wear a mask before and after class and at all other times. In the pool: You do NOT need to wear a mask whilst swimming or in Water Aerobics. Whether you are wearing a mask or not, you MUST physically distance between other members. Instructors do NOT need to wear a mask when teaching a class to allow for clear instructions and cues. Staff will be wearing a mask at all other times except when talking to members who have hearing impairments that require lip reading. If you wish to wear a mask, even if you are not legally required, you may do so. Please note that this information may change at any time! We are all in this together - let's play our part

06.01.2022 GYM/POOL BOOKINGS NOW OPEN: Get excited, we are back on Wednesday!! - Group Fitness Classes will resume Monday 2nd November. A timetable will be posted tomorrow! Please remember: No TOWEL, NO TRAIN!!!... You can book 2 days in advance (as today is Monday, you will only see Wednesday's sessions) You MUST un-book if you can NOT make your session. You MUST cancel more than 2 hours before session. There is a waitlist for every session - so you can still book a spot if the session is full. You will receive an email if someone cancels and you get a spot. You can only book one session per day until restrictions ease. Your login details will be the same.
