25.01.2022 Now this was fun. My daughter 12 on the left and niece 9 on the right getting their Ninja on. I love the determination Amali had at reaching the high ramp. She had about 20 shots and nailed about 4, what I’m most proud of is the fact that she never gave up. 24.01.2022 To my fabulous PT and Nutrition clients thank you for another successful results focussed week. I’m so fortunate to have such an amazing group of ladies to work with. This week my clients: gained strength in squats and deadlifts lost body fat by eating well & moving ... Ate more food than ever and still lost body fat Let go of being perfect and focussed on consistency Changed some habits that no longer served them learnt it’s ok to eat your favourite foods without guilt and punishment Also laughed at my jokes!! 20.01.2022 So often I see women in their 40’s and 50’s restricting their food, going low carb, no carb, keto , intermittent fasting etc and then wondering why their hormones have gone crazy and they are putting on weight, especially around the tummy. My first port of call with my one on one clients is mindset, what limiting beliefs have you been telling yourself? You know, ‘I can never lose weight’ ‘I just look at carbs and I gain weight’ ‘I’m just big boned’ ‘it’s too hard’ ‘menopause... sucks’ and so on. These thoughts shape our thinking and the mind works in ways to confirm our evidence-lacking beliefs. In other words, what you look for you find. Get your mindset working for you instead of against you and magical things happen. Next thing I look at with my clients is their diet, what they are missing out on and if there’s any gaps that need filling. Most of the time there are big gaps that need patching. You see when you restrict food it generally leads to massive cravings and then over indulging. This is where the weight gain happens. It also affects blood sugar levels and this is a big problem for women with declining or fluctuating estrogen levels. Once I have your diet more balanced results come pretty much straight away then I look at other big factors like stress, sleep (or lack of), lifestyle and the type of exercise being done. Is it beneficial or doing more damage than good? 16.01.2022 With most of 2020 being dictated by COVID I've learnt some valuable lessons and I choose to make the most of life. Things I've changed are: 1. I no longer wake up to an alarm 2. I'm working smarter not harder... 3. I spend more time at home 4. I don't workout as much (I was doing classes plus my own training 6 days a week) 5. I catch up with a least one friend every week for coffee or breakfast (or wine, ok mostly wine lols) 6. I walk more 7. I started an online business something I've wanted to do for a long time I'd love to hear what you have changed or whats worked out better for you. xx

08.01.2022 Its a summer salad kind of day, team this with some tuna, black beans or a side of chicken and that's lunch sorted. Roasted Cherry Tomato Salad 900g cherry tomatoes, halved ... cup (60ml) olive oil 1 tbsp. honey tsp. sea salt 1 small cucumber, peeled, diced cup (70g) feta, crumbled 1 small red onion, chopped 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp. basil, chopped Preheat the oven to 180C. Place half of the tomatoes in a bowl and, set aside. Gently mix the other half of tomatoes in a separate bowl with the olive oil, honey, and salt. Place the seasoned tomatoes on a baking tray on the top rack of the oven. Bake for about 45 minutes until they start to shrink and caramelise. Once cooked set aside to cool. Once cooled, mix the roasted tomatoes with the fresh tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, onion, vinegar and basil in a large bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve.
