24.01.2022 Two squadrons on the track this morning. And they were rewarded with this stunning sunrise.

24.01.2022 Happy Birthday Adrian and Congratulations on your many many sessions from your Fitness@Flagstaff Family

24.01.2022 Another massive milestone this week. Steve Kelly completed his 2,000th session. Steve leads the way and at 6am sharp he leads the warm ups too. He provides plenty of encouragement to everyone out on the track and loves a bit of banter... especially with those who can be a bit late... you know who you are. He has long been the measuring stick of the group, mister consistent for all four early sessions and an early adopter of the 50 minute session. Steve has tested himself in many trail runs and marathons over the years and is the only member to win the f@f perpetual award twice.

23.01.2022 Just redeemed our 2019 Christmas gift voucher ar the Bird Box windy point. Enjoyed a lovely tapas selection delicious pizza and a yummy desert while watching the Adelaide sunset. Thanks all...very much appreciated

23.01.2022 Had a good crowd out to mark 100 sessions for Georgie. Motivated to improve her fitness and always ready to have a go and get things done. Well done Georgie.

23.01.2022 For all those who struggle to get up for those stunning sunrises... here’s a snap of tonight’s sunset! There’s something for everyone at f@f

23.01.2022 Good evening all, I hope all the mothers had a fabulous day yesterday. I know first hand what a difference a good mother can make. I am also heartened to hear how you are all keeping fit, keeping in touch, and keeping an eye out for each other.... On Friday afternoon the South Australian government began charting the process back for sport and recreation. New guidelines were published today by the Office for Recreation Sport and Racing. While technically outdoor boot camps of up to 10 participants have never been specifically prohibited in SA, they have been strongly discouraged. The new guidelines have been interpreted and adapted for fitness@flagstaff. Key points to note: >First steps back Tuesday 19 May - refer temporary schedule >No contact drills > boxing suspended >Up to 3 groups of 10 may use oval > morning cardio sessions okay, evening cardio sessions still being negotiated with football >No indoor training permitted at school (external user groups cancelled) > X-training moved to oval (morning sessions) / evening sessions suspended >Pre-bookings encouraged (by phone or email) Key safety information: >Bring a full size towel to all sessions >Own equipment allocated, mitts must be worn for weights >Hand hygiene facilitated and encouraged before and after all sessions >Social distancing will be integrated to all sessions. The full plan of action is attached for your information, including an interim schedule. Whilst Michelle and I have been as busy as ever moving house, we are both looking forward to a return to some routine, and re-ignighting f@f is an exciting milestone. I know Michelle in particular is champing at the bit to get back on the track. All the experts are cautiously optimistic about Australia’s and South Australia’s outlook with respect to COVID. But the road back may not be a straight line and I respect that each of you will need to assess your own circumstances and your own new normal. Please drop me a line and let me know how you and your family have been doing and what your thought are regarding a return to training. I have also been giving some thought to the future and f@f business model. Once things open up a bit more I will be making some exciting announcements to make training at f@f even better. And standby for the "iso awards" at the 2020 f@f Xmas party! Look forward to hearing from you. yours in fitness Adrian

20.01.2022 Happy Sunday everyone, As the COVID19 situation evolves, I wanted to update all my highly valued members with what to expect this week. Be assured that I am taking this situation seriously. I am focussed on following the advice of the Australian Department of Health to ensure you can keep your healthy lifestyle and and am committed to providing a safe clean and hygienic environment. Your health and wellbeing of is my ultimate priority. In summary:... - The school has closed to all contractors and external hirers, so ALL sessions will be outdoors at the Flagstaff Community Centre Oval - f@f Cardio and X-training sessions continue this week - All drills will be designed to accomodate appropriate social distancing - Boxing will cease immediately as it is not possible to maintain the recommended social distancing - Hand washing will be available and encouraged at the beginning and end of each session. Must BYO towel. - Every member will be allocated their personal matt and all matts will be disinfected between sessionsthis may mean single matts for the time being. - Everyone must bring your own full size or beach towel for use on your mat - Boxing inner gloves will be allocated when medicine balls or weights are used Anyone who is ill or in a high risk group (as it is defined by the authorities), please take a break. Exercise is great for your physical health and to support immune function. It’s also great for your mental health, to boost your mood and reduce anxiety. To this end, if your employment conditions have been impacted by the Corona Virus I would encourage you to speak with me to organise concessions so you can maintain your fitness during these unusual and uncertain times. And as rules and guidelines are updated I will continue to adapt my practices. Your PT Adrian

20.01.2022 Here’s another old favourite for your home workouts. Get out the deck of cards and enjoy. It’s one for the whole family!

19.01.2022 A massive congratulations to Cathy who celebrated her 500th session today. We had a few out this morning to witness cathys achievement...training with the social distancing guidelines in play. More about that tomorrow.

19.01.2022 We got a lot of miles in the legs for Bonnie 400th session tonight. Clearly our group is passionate about maintaining our fitness and equally conscious of maintaining social distance. Well done Bonnie

16.01.2022 Was a big night at the gym tonight. Five milestones! Big shout out to Linda, Geralyn and David on 200 sessions; Issac on 300 sessions and Cam is back from the mines to mark his 500th session. Congratulations to all

16.01.2022 Couldn’t be prouder of our first member to achieve 2,000 sessions. Katherine Wise started at f@f in my very first week way back in 2008 Everyone who trains with knows what a quality person she is. Exemplified when she finished the 50k trail blazer, took her dad home for some r@r and returned with some baked goods to support the crew as they staggered across the 100 k finish line. Kat is great to have out at any session... even when she takes over the boxing sessions! She was a member of the inaugural flagstaff women’s premiership footy team. This year she has gone from defence to goal sneak which is good news for flaggies as they start their finals campaign. Well done Kat you should be proud of yourself.

15.01.2022 Last drinks at f@f tonight. Thanks Cam for bringing out some beers. Half the crew stayed around after our session for a vertical socially distanced beer. If anyone was wondering we are closed down for the next six days. Stay tuned for updates as they come to hand.

14.01.2022 Special announcement: It is with great pleasure that I presented Kim with her 1,000 top on Monday night. When Kim started way back in the early days she sent me a 7 page email telling me everything she couldn’t do. Well I couldn’t be more pleased to report 11 years later that there’s not much she hasn’t done. Over the period we’ve shared a few special times... gaining her PHD, and then a job, completing the 100km trail blazer, winning the f@f award winner and I trusted her and Cam to take Janelle and Michelle into the desert for a couple of weeks. And they bought home a winner! Love having you in the team Kim. Congratulations.

14.01.2022 It only gets better from here... longer and warmer days are on the way.

12.01.2022 Hi team, Received this message from Rhiannon earlier today. What a truly positive and inspirational wife, mother and friend. Our thoughts are with you xxx ...Continue reading

11.01.2022 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT It was another great morning on the track yesterday when Linda celebrated her 1000th session. Soon after Sarah was born Linda joined our group and has been a regular ever since. I admire the way that she has managed to prioritise her own well-being amongst such a busy and full life. Always involved in social events, she conquered the Great Wall of China, a f@f award winner and a great all rounder. We love having you in our group. Congratulations Linda.

11.01.2022 First morning back on the track. We had two squadrons in play, perfect conditions and a pink sunrise poking thru the trees...it’s great to be back.

11.01.2022 Game On! Get the kids moving these school holidays by registering them for a fun sport/activity program We’ve put together a guide so you can see what’s happening across a wide range of sport and recreation events. Check it out here https://bit.ly/2RZI5uR

11.01.2022 Not often we see Emily without Shaun... but tonight she snuck out alone and earned her 200 session t-shirt. A new mother to Evie, Emily has established a new routine around her life that is overflowing with love. Well done Emily.

11.01.2022 Was about 8 years ago when Anne Marie was gifted a f@f voucher. And she hasn’t missed a beat since. So it was a great pleasure to announce her 1,000th session earlier this week. Our furtherest team mate, Anne Marie travels in from Meadows, smashes out a quick session and continues on her way to the city... refreshed and ready for whatever the day holds. Anne Marie is a hard worker on the track, contributes to the banter with her quick wit and always has a quiet word of encouragement to newcomers. Congratulations Anne Marie you are the 20th member to join the very impressive and exclusive 1,000 club.

10.01.2022 It's spring time... time to get out and enjoy the good weather. There are a billion challenges floating around at the moment, all designed to motivate us to get up and get moving. Why not join up to the billion steps challenge and help South Australia reach one billion steps in record time!

09.01.2022 Today’s 6am session with no lights Yay!!

08.01.2022 If your heading to training tonight we are back in the school gym for x-training and boxing. See you soon!

08.01.2022 One of the early adopters and anchor of the 9:15 time slots Lyndall has juggled around her PE teaching to achieve 500 sessions today. Always bright and bubbly Lyndall can make even the hardest session good fun. Congratulations!

07.01.2022 Was a fun night at the annual f@f Christmas party. A great line up of nominees and a well deserved will to Kat. Thanks for all your support this year and the lovely gift that Michelle and I will enjoy. Last training Wednesday night.

06.01.2022 Getting South Australia moving... what a great idea. We’re ahead of the game at Fitness@Flagstaff

06.01.2022 Hi Team, My marketing team have been working on the new rules over the weekend, including doubling up the morning sessions (6am and 6.45am ) afternoon sessions (5.15pm and 6pm) and putting in an IT solution to manage bookings and wait lists. But the new COVID 19 guidelines announced earlier this evening have finally got the better of us.... Firstly, everyones membership has gone on hold as of 29 March 2020. If you would like to borrow a medicine ball or set of weights during the shut down please let me know via return email, I will make arrangements. Would love you to share how you are keeping active, feel free to post it on Facebook or drop me an email. Isaac sent me a workout he set himself last weekI will share that tomorrow and please feel free to comment if you give it a try. For those of you wanting to stay active as a family I would recommend PE with Joe Wicks, a daily live streamed 30 minute cardio workout accessible and free for all with no equipment necessary. If you are not already in the f@f social group (on facebook), get on board, or let me know and I will send you an invite via Facebook. Finally, I want to thank everyone for their amazing support through this extraordinary time and encourage you to keep looking out for each other zoom, house party and good old face time can really help you feel connected, so try them out. I will keep in touch via email, text and Facebook, and would love to keep hearing from you. See you on the flip side! yours in fitness Adrian

06.01.2022 Hi Team, Great newswe can access the school gym from next week Monday 6th July Things are still not quite back to normal, we are still sharing time slots with football in the evenings, and we are starting back with one boxing class, but I am glad to get back to the X-training in the school gym, as I know many of you have missed it.... The school requires any adult entering the premises to complete a site access form EACH TIME they enter the school. I will have these forms available at all X-Training sessions. Please set aside a minute to complete your name and signature. And please keep bringing a full size towel to all sessions. Having had some time to reflect during the COVID 19 slow down, and after speaking to many of you to test out a few ideas, I have decided to make a few changes to freshen things up, streamline sessions and simplify the pricing structure. The website has been updated with the Covid schedule and the new pricing structure. http://fitnessatflagstaff.com.au/f%40f/Sessions.html

06.01.2022 Earlier this week Dave completed his 300th session. Starting as a pm x-training specialist Dave retired from the Constabulary at the end of 2019. While his travel plans were thwarted by the virus his fitness received a big boost. The silver lining has seen him adopted by the 6am group, embracing cardio and rapid improvements. Congratulations Dave.

03.01.2022 Chair exercises anyone?

02.01.2022 Had a great return to training today. Beautiful mild morning, near perfect conditions for the full house at 9:15 and again a full house for tonight’s session. All were keen to brave the rain... but lightening got the better of us.

01.01.2022 Platters to be picked up at training or if you haven’t made other arrangements pm me. Sadly the Santa platter may have to be retired...
