23.01.2022 TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY Client Ness showing some awesome results just 3 weeks in. So far Ness has:... - shifted 4% Body Fat - increased muscle by 1kg - increased strength So not only is Ness toning up she's getting stronger at the same time The way she's doing this is by sticking to the plan, eating the right foods and lifting heavy weights If you want help achieving your health goals head over to my bio and hit one of the links

21.01.2022 Thursdays Tip How to build a muscle. It's simple right, you lift a weight up, put it back down and repeat. But to build the muscle you are actually targeting, you have to target that muscle. So I've found the best way to do that is by actually squeezing the muscle that you're wanting to build as hard as you possibly can before even moving the weight. Then all the resistance from the weight is focused there first. Now there's a whole lot of scientific stuff about angles, strength curves etc. etc. but get the basics right first. Learn to squeeze and fire the muscle you want to build before you worry about if it needs to go 2.65 degrees to the left or right.

20.01.2022 Monday motivation Another one of my little pocket rockets @vanessa_lej putting in the work. After starting with me 2 weeks ago Ness is already displaying the qualities of a person that will achieve great results. Why? Because she holds herself accountable and has a can do attitude. She follows the plan, she communicates where she has slipped up (honesty), when she feels flat, when she feels energised. This is probably the biggest part of progress/transformation, communicating with each other. If you don't know what's going on with your client then how will you know which direction to take them? Keep up the good work Ness

18.01.2022 Transformation Tuesday Since starting her weight loss journey my little pocket rocket client @silsrbinoskaa is absolutely killing it with a total of 40.3kg down in the space of 7months. Now I would love to claim it all but I have only been working with Sil for 2 months. So it's all on her. Great job Sil, keep up the good work

14.01.2022 Save dollars So over the weekend I had the pleasure to learn from the guys pictured. @musclenerds_health what an awesome team. They gave us so much information that it's going to take a while to digest. Which is a perfect segue into the topic I want to raise. Digestion Now this is a massive topic, way too big to cover on a platform like this so I'm just going to give you a digestion hack on how to improve your digestion without costing you a bucketload of . Who does...n't want to save money right. Now some health professionals are going to suggest that if you present with a certain symptom picture that you take HCL, digestive enzymes, pepsin, ox bile and a whole bunch of other things either separately or in different combinations that you have no clue what they do. Me among them. However, if we take it a step back before it even passes our mouth we can make everything down stream in the digestive tract go that little bit smoother. Here it is: - - - Do what your Mum and Dad told you. CHEW YOUR FOOD. Yep, that's it, chew your food. So you say how many times? 30, 50, 80, 100??? Try this, chew it until it's slightly liquid or like a paste. That way you don't have to count every chew and everyone knows what that feels like. Why do it? Because it increases the surface area of the food so that it can be broken down more easily. Take this example. If you put a teaspoon of sugar granules into a glass of water and in another glass of water you put a cube of sugar (worth the same as that of a teaspoon) which one dissolves quicker? The sugar granules right. Why? Because it has more surface area, more area of each particle that is exposed to the water so therefor can be broken down quicker. It's the same with food. The smaller the particles of food (the more you chew it up, paste like) the more it gets exposed to your stomach acid and the better job your stomach can do at getting out all the nutrients. 11.01.2022 Long time client @me1aniex feeling the pinch after 3 weeks on holidays in beautiful Thailand. But in her words in a message she sent to me this week. - "Yea, so keen to smash out the gym before summer we seriously realised how much we actually enjoy living this lifestyle and eating well, and how shit you feel by not!" And that pretty much sums it up. It's all about a lifestyle change as opposed to doing something as a fad

08.01.2022 Knocked out a quick session with the lads this morning

08.01.2022 It’s one of those kind of mornings - If your someone who struggles to get out of bed in the morning -Needs a coffee to get going -Wakes up stiff and sore then just slowly improves over the coarse of the day -Then you may possibly have some adrenal issues... -How do we fix it??? -The simple fixes are: -Try to get more rest (stay off the electronics at night) -Stress less (meditate) -Exercise (but not till you kill yourself, killing yourself in the gym adds to the issue, take it easy) -Eat some food that comes out of the ground or eats stuff that eats stuff from out of the ground (veggies, fruit and unprocessed meats) -Try some of those strategies and see how things improve. 08.01.2022 To lean out or gain weight So often I get asked if I should get lean or "bulk up". So here are some rough guidelines as to how you might approach your health goals. - -Males 15<% Females 23<%... -Reduce Body Fat. - -Males 12-15% Females 20-23% -Reduce Body Fat (Unless you have come down from a higher %, you may need a dietary break here to reset homeostasis). Then continue on down to lower percentages. - -Males 8-12% Females 16-20% -Optimal, this is where the body operates at its best especially when putting on lean muscle. - -Males 8>% Females 16>% -Competition type shape, it’s not ideal to stay here long term as your hormonal levels can become insufficient. Return back to the optimal range as soon as possible for improved overall health. As stated earlier these are just some rough guidelines to help you assess what might be a good direction for you to move forward

07.01.2022 Watching the fight today between #mcgregor and mayweather and noticed how this man #mayweather is practising a little bit of de-stressing. Like I was talking about yesterday we want to learn how to de-stress. Mayweather is practising one form, massage. Some other ways to rid stress is to meditate, be mindful at your meals, which means turn your phone to silent and place it face down and have a conversation with the people you're eating with, it helps your body relax. Instead of being. On your phone looking at social media before bed. I like to put on the app #headspace so it helps clear your mind. Do the same in the morning. It only takes 10mins. Try a few of these things and see if it helps you level out

06.01.2022 Friday funday. Still trying to learn the Kreb cycle. Gotta get a little nerdy now, learning all about energy production, discovering how missing nutrients in the diet can effect energy. It's all about optimising how we function so we can be as healthy as possible and most of all feel our best

06.01.2022 Sensetive to glare, driving lights or even the house lights - - Well it may be because your are constantly in a stressed state. Work, kids, training, nutrition is somewhat lacking, reading shit posts on Instagram/Facebook, any number of stressors or all of the above and more may cause stress. But what's it got to do with being sensitive to light?... Well think about it, your brain doesn't know that your stressors (work, kids, etc as stated above) aren't a tiger chasing you or that your running out of food it just knows your trying to survive. So back in the day when our stress was a tiger or lack of food our stress response was to increase heart rate, pump blood to the extremities so we could fight or run. The pupils of our eyes would dilate (or open up) so that we could see our enemy/prey better by letting in more light. Amongst a bunch of other reactions. So you could make an educated summation that if your constantly in a low grade stressed state that your pupils would be dilated (opened) more of the time, thereby letting in more light which in turn may make you more sensitive to light. Awesome Stewie, so how do we help mitigate stress? Tune in tomorrow for a few tips on what you can do See more

03.01.2022 Technology has it good points and it's bad points. This is one of the occasions where it's good. I have all my seminar notes and client files in a cloud storage area. So when I want some time out of the office, this becomes my office where I can study, learn apply.
