16.01.2022 Have you ever heard the term if it fits your macros? With social media, I'm sure you would have at some stage of your scrolling. But what is it exactly, and how can it help with fat loss? Well first we must explain what a macro nutrient is. Macronutrients are in all the foods we eat, and what our body needs to survive. They are broken down into three main components, protein / carbohydrates / fats. Our body converts these into their specific functions, eg protein for skin, n...ails, hair ect. Fats for brain health and organs, Carbs for energy and muscle use. But how does it apply to dieting? Well now that we know what macros are, we now need to calculate what our individual macros are. Using these numbers, IIFYM comes into play. Now we have these figures, we can begin to start making a meal plan that still allows us to have our weakness foods, will still heading towards our goal. IIFYM is a great way to stay on a relatively strict diet, while still having some flexibility and choice in what you eat. Some has lost their jobs, their confidence shaken and mind disarayed. Despite this, we are getting closer to the light at the end of the tunnel, and we MUST remain hopeful that we will return to our normal lives.
