24.01.2022 Don't forget that every time you come to a class this month, and you bring a friend, BOTH YOU AND YOUR FRIEND go into a draw to win a fitness goodie bag! WIN WIN WIN! Every time you bring a friend you get an EXTRA entry into the draw - there is no limit to the number of entries you can have :-)

23.01.2022 RED MIST at the crack of dawn. Checking out the new Metafit track in the dark before the sunrises - OUCH! this one is a cracker!! Looking forward to this at all my classes next week :-)

19.01.2022 Workout with your partner or NOT!?!?

18.01.2022 SPROUTS! Love 'em or hate 'em? I am not talking about those nasty brussel sprouts my mum used to make me eat - I am talking about bean sprouts, made in my own kitchen! They are super easy to grow, taste awesome and can be sprinkled on any salad to add nutrients, vitamins and taste. One batch will last in the fridge for days - these I love!

15.01.2022 What is your favourite mid-week easy go to recipe?

12.01.2022 Best winter comfort meal?

07.01.2022 Most breakfast cereals are loaded with added sugars - go and check the labels - sugar, glucose, maltose, inverted glucose syrup (ugg the worst) , honey....... etc...... they are ALL sugars and they all add up even if they have different names. Eating too much added sugar can make you INCREASE bodyfat, make you irritable and lose concentration (no good for kids before school). It also makes you hungry very quickly after you have eaten so you end up eating more calories - no go...od for fat loss. We do not have breakfast cereals in our house - I make nearly every breakfast we have from scratch (including bread and cereals) so I know exactly what is in the food we eat. I keep the sugars to a minimum and save it for treats. It is easy to make your own granola - this one is simply oats toasted in the oven for 10 minutes in a light coating of coconut oil and honey. It keeps for ages in a sealed pot and when I want to eat it I add it to plain yoghurt, cocoa nibs and shredded coconut - tasy! See more

05.01.2022 Looking for quick ways to boost your weight loss? Did you know that a dehydrated body will RETAIN body fat? The more your drink (water that is!) the more body fat you will burn! So get drinking - water, sparkling water, herbal tea.......it all counts. Aim for 8 glasses a day - your body will take a while to adjust to the added fluid - you will need to pee all day! but once your body gets used to it you will be fine. Have a large glass just before bed, as soon as you wake up before your coffee or tea and before each meal you eat (this will also help stop you overeating) and try to sip throughout the day. Good luck!

02.01.2022 What's you favourite way to chillax on a Friday night?

02.01.2022 Need to keep warm this winter? Have you tried herbal tea? Green tea/peppermint tea and other fruit infusions have no calories and no caffeine and are the perfect all day go-to warm drink. Green tea also has amazing health benefits that include boosting weight loss, so instead of a coffee or hot chocolate make a healthy choice. My favourite is peppermint tea - these pukka ones are from the UK but can be found (at a cost) over here!

02.01.2022 This morning I revisited an old workout I haven't done in months, followed by a swim and breakfast on the beach :-). I had forgotten how much fun dune runs are!!! 50 reps of each of these exercises, with a dune run carrying a medicine ball in between each exercise - awesome! Mountain Climbers Lunge with MB overhead... Press Ups Squat Jumps Squats with MB Squat thrusts Mountain climbers Get ups with MB overhead press Burpees Oblique twists Hollow rocks Job done :-)

01.01.2022 This rings true to me - every Metafit session I do, every hill I run up or cycle up and every beach workout I do - it still hurts me and I am still gasping for breath. I still push to MY maximum, it is just that MY maximum looks different to YOUR maximum. It doesn't get easier because you are fitter, you just get faster and have better technique. :-)
