25.01.2022 Something I remind myself of when I don’t ‘see’ progress. What have I learnt that I didn’t know yesterday.... day after day? What are you learning? Currently out injured I have found myself questioning lots of things and getting caught up in future worries about training. I am learning to catch myself and bring myself back to the current situation and problem solve what I can do instead of speculating on everything I hope to be able to do again. This is the work for me.... I love training. It’s my hobby, part of my profession and part of self improvement and growth to name a few things. Some days I go through a range of feelings around what is happening from anger, sadness, planning, thinking more about what I am thankful for despite what’s happening. And probably some days I am most afraid of losing that as it has become a way of living for me that feels aligned to me. I am doing one day at a time and staying in my lane and dealing with the things in front of me and that for me will be some long term progress in itself. 22.01.2022 Deb’s been training with me for 3 years and she’s decided to head into the gym with her husband Matthew. Deb’s had two sessions with me a week and walks just about everyday. Now she’s going to do those sessions on her own with a membership at the gym.... She’s developed some great muscle tone and seen some strength increases as she is a busy business woman with her hands in a number of projects around the coast as well. 14.01.2022 Sleds today for me too at the end of a glute/leg session. I have an upper body injury so finding ways to train around it means a lot of leg work. 5 sleds at just over bodyweight with a 45 second rest in between... Low push on the way up (glute burn) and then backwards close stance push on the way back (quad burn)... Session was Abductor 4 x 15 reps Hip thrust machine 4 x 10 Reverse hack 4 x 10 Narrow hack squat 4 x 10 Reverse barbell lunges 4 x 8 e/s SLEDZZZZZ Glute cable kicks 4 x 12 e/s Calves 4 x 15 Done... #getinthegym #betterthanyesterday #getitdone #dothework #sleds #legday #womeninthegym #bodybuildergonerogue

06.01.2022 Nessiè Neill at it today. We’ve started standing sled pulls which takes some concentration and effort as she counterbalances pulling the weight while feeling the ground beneath her to keep her stable. And her smile when she achieves something says it all.
06.01.2022 Challenge yourself. Get curious about what you are capable of. You might surprise yourself. The ability to be able to push through discomfort in my experience has led me to more learning and more possibilities.
