25.01.2022 REAL, RAW, HONEST & CONSISTENCE Hi my names Pip, I am just a regular everyday mum & wife who works full-time, and I have never felt more stronger physically, mentally or emotionally than I do today. I’ve had ups, I’ve had downs. I’ve gained, I’ve lost & I’ve learned. Everyone’s journey is different and this is mine. About 3 years ago my family was rocked by a sudden family tragedy. I was broken, confused and didn’t understand how or why this was happening. Knowing I was...n’t myself a friend told me about @fit_pursuit_ who was travelling to Wagin taking fitness classes. I remember my first class, it was HIITSTEP and I almost didn’t see the session out, it was so hard. I was introduced to the world of mountain climbers, running man and burpees. Not being able to walk comfortably or sit without a little yelp between transitions for the next few days was excruciating but I just remembered how good I felt after I completed the workout, my body was pumping, my mind was clear, and as Brooke would say I had that post work out glow I loved it!So, I continued attending classes & thanks to the convenience of the ‘virtual world’ I attended more! This is when Brooke noticed that I was starting to get tired and struggled with strength during the sessions. My poor eating habits were contributing factors, to be honest with you I’m not a bad eater, but I wasn’t eating enough or eating the wrong foods at the wrong time. Through an accountability project I was introduced to @jessica_lowe_coaching who taught me what foods were best for my body to help achieve my personal goals. Through our accountability challenge Jess taught me how to enjoy food and achieve amazing physical goals. During the weeks I was able to transform my metabolic age from 38 to 25 and lose 6.4% body fat, not bad for a 40 year old! My fitness journey will never be a finished series, I’m not the strongest or fittest in the classes and my body will continue to change everyday. Training and making better food choices for me has become a life long commitment for a healthier lifestyle. I’m just so appreciative that we have support in small country towns, like Wagin from people like Brooke & Jessica to help us with our FIT PURSUITS!!
