23.01.2022 It's official... gym's remain closed until Step#4.... so what steps will you take to keep yourself going strong? I've got no reason to give up running a business that is closed because there's always something we can do - focus on what we can control. Let's keep you doing the same for your fitness, health & happiness. Gyms are closed - We are not. When I launched Fitquest360 almost 5 years ago, we had no gym, no equipment. 22.01.2022 Seona Martin found opportunity in the midst of breaking regular routine, home schooling, gym closure and isolation. Two choices ... quit or keep going. When faced with our gym closure and her only options were our zoom sessions and her own desire to keep going - this is just outstanding and inspiring. Not only this but Seona has managed to attend more workouts doing them via zoom than she normally would have when we were open. She sought the opportunity- Seona from all of us at Fitquest360 thank you for sharing your journey and inspiring others. This is what a true transformation journey should look like in my eyes ... focusing on how you move and feel. Well done, super proud. Alli Allison Everett

20.01.2022 Tomorrow we get to open the doors to Fitquest360 here in Ballarat. If it wasn’t for the huge support and commitment from our amazing Members, our FQ360 family, we wouldn’t have had a gym to be able to reopen the doors to. So a massive thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart. It is very exciting to be offering our ... FIRE & ICE (Functional strength & Cardio program) to members fully now, no matter what the weather ! What a relief that is to not have to check the forecast each day to see if we can run our sessions! *New COVID19 upgrades* We now have red tape boxed out markings for our 10 people per session to feel safe, and have their own little personal space within the gym during their workouts. Each marked out station has its own little bottle of disinfectant to wipe down equipment. All our members were provided with their own cleaning cloths to bring to their sessions, to reduce environmental wastage of wipes. There are anti bacterial gym wipes on hand however also. Members bring their own gym mats too. All sessions are booked online. I am ready for our first session at 6am tomorrow (Wednesday) although a couple hinted at a midnight one haha. As officially from 11:59 tonight it’s a go. Thanks everyone and wishing all the gym owners, pt’s and fitness pros in Regional Victoria - a massive enjoyable and exciting first day back tomorrow with your members and staff. Alli xx Allison Everett

20.01.2022 How I used to plan my ICE/group fitness workouts : stick figures and lots of description for myself Exhibit 1 To when I had loads of time on my hands and they got pretty and I would send out emails of them too, all pretty. Exhibit 2... To today when it’s all virtual online and using a digital online timer timer and the zoom links are saved in our vip page for 7 days. It’s not pretty but it works. Exhibit 3 Still the same theory Workout hard for 20 mins. Burn fat, workout with intensity over duration in mind and you’ll get a cracking workout. Change your body, get fitter and maybe even have some fun Of course it’s fun - you’re doing it with others who are also having fun alongside you - on an oval, in the gym or on zoom - together

19.01.2022 Week 2 free weekly raffle is almost over... here's the Thursday entry. Click away and you could win one of these free gifts. This is my thank you to our community and to show my appreciation for all the support I have had during our lockdown this year. Alli x

19.01.2022 Do you need to get back into a fitness routine? Have you thought about holding off til next year? Honestly I would strike now, while you're thinking about it. ... Just quick and effective 20min HIIT (ICE) sessions either at our gym in Delacombe, or on zoom (or both), and you can start feeling fitter faster than you realise you could. Finish off 2020 with a plan that you can continue into 2021 and forget about next Monday or next week or next year. Message me when you read this and we can organise a free session to come and try. Our small group/personal training gym is ideal for you if you are after simple, effective and fun sessions that you can get results with 20 or 40min workouts. With added accountability and a members only gym. Feel safe with the covid19 safety measures in place, and know that we don't have droves of people coming and going in and out all day long. It's been an awesome day of planning and enjoying the sunshine today. A public holiday here today and we were spoilt with such fabulous weather! Now that we are back in the gym and our doors are open (and hopefully it will stay this way), we have a timetable to take us right up to 19th December. After that a Christmas/New Year timetable will run for approx 2-3 weeks and then a fresh 2021 one will be offered with more sessions, more options and more ways to keep you on track and feeling amazing inside and out with a fabulous group both in the gym and online in our zoom/virtual gym. New members are now able to join up, and we have a new ICE session offered at the gym as of next week at 6:30pm on a Monday night. So now you can do 2 evenings, 2 mornings and a Saturday too! FIRE crew can now manage to alternate their ICE sessions around their strength training with the additional Mon pm session too. We focus on quality over quantity. Our sessions are jam packed for results and you only need 2-3 a week when you are starting out. Every session can be modified to suit all fitness levels. That's small group training with a personal touch. Zoom only members have 5 sessions to choose from with 3 mornings, 1 evening and a Saturday session. All zoom sessions are recorded so members can access these too completely for free. Message me for more info and a huge welcome back through the doors to our continuing Fitquest360 members. 19.01.2022 This is my take on mental health and how gyms have been misunderstood. I've kept a low profile on social media, focusing only on keeping going. But today I decided to share my voice. Please help me spread the word on gyms and mental health and let's rally behind each other to get our gyms and our community spirit strong again. Allison Everett. xx

19.01.2022 Gayle Roberts you are A HERO! We have inspiration all around us in life, we also have HEROES. In the spirit of making MAY MOVING forward MONTH, I am starting off with a HERO post, to celebrate so much more than fitness inspiration.... Taking it to another level of celebrating the HERO in our MEMBERS. Gayle, 69 years young and she is freaking fearless, strong, resilient, and one incredibly humble woman. I have only known Gayle for a few months, and she has quickly become a hero in our Gym and to me personally. Gayle - the Hero I see in you is courageous, brave, noble and selfless. You are a 69 years young woman with amazing physical strength, your mental strength rivals that. You just have to look at this face and you can't help but want to hug her. The Heroes never really know just how much of an impact they have on others. They do what they do because it's who they are, not what they do pre-medatatively. They just be them, and we get to be around their amazing selfless and inspiring selves. So Gayle, I just wanted to say you are A HERO. At Fitquest360 and at Life. Keep being you, keep being fearless and know that you leave a massive impact in this world. Name: Gayle Roberts Age: 69 Fitness preference: Lifting weights (heavy ones!!) Hero traits: Moves mountains to be there for everyone. Finds a way to no matter what to stand up and STAY FEARLESS in the face of adversity. Alli :) Allison Everett Fitness Fitquest360

18.01.2022 our next draw is tonight.

18.01.2022 Four different reasons why this is the best way for these ladies to train with us on zoom. Seona... lives in Creswick and this saves her a 20min drive each way, and with a busy family life getting kids ready for school this means she doesn’t miss a workout or runs late.. Carly.... lives in Geelong so she’s loving that she can do a live workout with us alongside her online coaching program she does with me. Sim..... lives at Derrinallum and is an hour away, has four kids ...from 11months to primary school age - so this is ideal. She sometimes even sneaks into her laundry to do the workout Suzy..... is a super busy business woman in Ballarat who travels for work and loves the fact she can pop into her garage and back inside to get ready for work in minutes. Is virtual (live video) training an actual thing now? We sure believe it is and we are planning on offering this to you in 2021 so you have even more ways to get results, keep fit and not be alone trying to keep going. During COVID-19 in 2020 as a gym to keep members training we quickly moved to ZOOM sessions. Now it’s 2021 and our ZOOM sessions are now a part of our training program. If I was me about 15 years ago when I had little kids, and the thought of packing up and heading to the gym with kids was more effort that it was worth, I so would have loved this zoom training. Being able to be in my own lounge room, let the kids just occupy themselves in their own space, and not have to get bored with the same workouts on DVDs this would have been so helpful. That’s just one of the reasons we are working hard to offer continued support with zoom/virtual group fitness sessions. So you can have a trainer to run you through a workout to provide you with the variety and the workouts that will produce results to give you something to commit to twice a week with others training with you too. so you can train with us and be a part of Fitquest360 from anywhere. provide you with a recording of the live workout so if you sleep in, kids don’t play well or you just want to do it again - you can! to keep moving forward with our members no matter what comes up. Covid or no covid, we are always looking at ways to keep you moving forward in health and fitness for all our members. Send me a message to chat about becoming a Fitquest360 member so we can get your fitness goals underway Alli Allison Everett Fitquest360 with Melissa Jane Hegarty and 4 others.

17.01.2022 Just like you and I and I and a lot of crazy busy mums and dads, there’s days that are so unpredictable. So Sue faces each day the best way she can so that she has the mental and physical strength to get the best from herself each day.

17.01.2022 Most of my members let out a little whinge when I suggest the bear crawl - but that’s because it’s not easy which is a great reason to give it a try. Along with other mobility training you will master this and so much more. Not just for in the gym but for your everyday movement. Improve your everyday muscle coordination and mobility. Want to move with more ease? Doing multi joint strength and conditioning exercises like this should form part of your training.... Great form here with the bear crawl Cindy Burke hips down, core on tight as she moves through this brilliantly. Bear crawls provide you with a core challenge whilst working all muscle groups together. These are awesome at improving your strength and agility and giving your entire body toning and conditioning. A bang for your buck exercise targeting: Shoulders Back Abs Hips Quads Glutes Calves This is a great exercise to test your entire body. Building total body strength is achieved with a multitude of exercise options. There can and ought to be more than just wanting to burn fat to e rice you to exercise. You want to get more from your body, be around people to help you do it correctly, safely and with encouragement and support. When you think of the gym think of it as your routine. It’s a part of the day that you give your body more opportunity to move and feel better long term. You’ll go home feeling amazing physically and focused mentally. Have an awesome day and be sure to surround yourself with others that help you to feel amazing about yourself. Alli Allison Everett

15.01.2022 Remember when doing at home workouts was a DVD or a vhs tape ? Just think about how many more people are able to workout now more regularly than ever. In fact I’ve got members who are More consistent and turning up to more regular sessions than they were when things were normal Before COVID19 existed.... Feeling safe and connected and have a group of people to workout with, who are just like them. Everyday busy adults, flat out with work, stresses of the days met with a fantastic workout to ease that and feel great afterwards. Here’s our post workout groups, Two awesome ICE/HIIT sessions to Kick start our week here at Fitquest360. Whilst the news of not being able to open for 11 weeks has just sunk in for our members and gym goers across Victoria, we are so lucky to have our gym and all our sessions still going anyhow albeit in a virtual manner. I am reminded of how when I was a new and younger haha mum, I used to do follow along DVD’s at home, because :- 1. I could never time a gym session around the babies/toddlers 2. I loved that I could work on me from home. If I had of had live workouts with people I knew, and recordings avail 17 years ago - it would have been absolutely awesome. These guys are great - they could just download general sessions off YouTube, or google workouts from insta famous legends - but instead they choose to keep being a part of FQ360, turn up to our live sessions, do the recordings when they need to, and they know that there’s someone else doing the exact same workout alongside them. It’s fun, it’s engaging and it’s great to have the actual human contact of a quick chat after a session too. Keep smiling guys, we have so much to be grateful to. ****** Pt sessions 1:1 and 1:2 are offered outdoors only. Zoom group fitness workouts continue.

It’s very special to have her come to Ballarat for a session when she can. Carly is now also a part of the myzone tribe and will be using this help her keep even more accountable to her cardio goals and to have some fun and join in on our challenges as a member online. Absolutely awesome to see you today - was a cracking workout! And Welcome to the myzone crew!!! Can’t wait to see you getting your name on our board next month with our May-hem challenges coming up too.

15.01.2022 May - mayhem Myzone & mystery month ! If there ever was a time to get on board with your fitness with us either online or in the gym - it’s May!... 15.01.2022 2021 - who’s ready? The one biggest thing I hope to inspire you to do, and help you to do this year is to ENJOY making fitness a natural part of your life. Working out is more than just squats and burpees and am I stronger and fitter ? It’s about using your time with us to get the most out of your life, your body. Try not to look at your membership as a gym with sessions, but as a where you become able to get your days fulfilled with more vitality, energy, positivity and me...ntal strength. So that each day whether you workout or not, has purpose, clarity, fun and lessons that you embrace all year round. Cant wait to share more with you in 2021. Alli Allison Everett See more

15.01.2022 Welcome back to our re-opened gym this morning to these amazing members. A great strong positive mind to start the day. We are not just about lifting and sweating. Strength and functionality combined. This mornings workout was Foxtrot with a big emphasis on leg and core strength and stability. ... Our Fire program has evolved with the ever changing and uncertain times of 2020 - but I am super proud of this new program and what the benefits will be for our members long term. Still focusing on building strength but now a more diverse and multi dimensional workout incorporates functional movement to enhance not just the workouts and exercises themselves - but your everyday movement, range of motion and unlocking tight hips and shoulders too. We are not just about lifting and sweating. Strength and functionality combined. Thank you COVID19 for pushing me as a coach to come up with new ways to keep going when the doors were closed - so that now we are open we are advancing even more with quality and effective workouts for everyone.

14.01.2022 You really come to appreciate things you didn’t even know would become so rare... working out next to others, swearing and sweating together , high fives, large groups, even having a spotter in your strength workouts to make sure you don’t drop a barbell on your face. But you know when you are still getting everyone together even via zoom and Facebook groups - that the community is not just about the physical workouts you did together, but about what you’ve created with each... other’s support and encouragement and excitement for your achievements along the way. Congratulations to all the amazing Fitquest360 members, for keeping going. It began in pic one ... 2016... and although right now we are zoom and outdoor pt only ... you have all remained one amazing strong community. Keeping fit is half the fun, the other half is knowing you have amazing people still by your side in any way they can be. January 2021 we will be Five years in the making ... thank you to all those who have shared the Fitquest360 over the years - what a fabulous journey it continues to be. Alli Allison Everett See more

14.01.2022 Very excited to congratulate Sharon Perna on being our first ZOOM/ONLINE member to hit IRON status with her workouts and fitness training this month. Sharon is ...a super loyal and dedicated online member. She can’t make our live zoom workouts at 6:30am so she logs on and after they’re done and does the recordings the following days. Perfect because she can actually do these any time she wants, as many times as she wants too!! She lives locally but the times we run our face to face here in the gym, clash with her work schedule and busy mum activities. I really value and appreciate that she still feels and is an active member in this way. I feel so lucky to be able to say you can belong to our gym, you’re a member even if you don’t ever step foot in our physical doors! Sharon we are so lucky and super proud to have you as a part of our Fitq360 family. You absolutely keep going in your own time and keep yourself motivated and accountable. Thanks for being a part of Fitq360 and I have a special bonus coming your way soon to congratulate you for hitting IRON as an online member. Love your energy, love that you check in when you’ve done the recorded sessions. Keep going you’re amazing

14.01.2022 Hey there .. it’s Fri-yay !! What’s for dinner? Do yourself a favour and whip up something delicious and nutritious and eat slowly - you’ll feel fuller and you won’t have to worry about that remorse you sometimes do when your goals are to keep going with as many great choices even on the weekend. Remember you don’t need to be perfect, but if you want to see changes and you keep feeling like it’s ground hog day every Monday, just slip in a couple of normal weekday meals into... your weekend and you’ll see the benefit. Have a super weekend and try to break the routine that might be derailing you. Do something different tonight - grab out a deck of cards or a board game - forget Netflix for one night. Connect with your loved ones and challenge them to beating you at connect4 !! You get the drift - to make changes to your habits, challenge your routine. Alli Allison Everett See more

14.01.2022 Wow what an amazing honour it is to read this post, and to have such an amazing crew who do truly look at our gym as a family. Five years ago today I stood before approx 18 people and asked them to come and workout on an oval near my home. Inspired and encouraged by many, excited and unaware of where I’d be today. The friendships, the journey and the dream is all very real and still exciting every single day. When you still get that exciting burning and bubbly feeling in your tummy - you know you’re in exactly the right place. I literally say to myself - I’m so incredibly lucky with the life I have and I bloody absolutely love it. Thank you everyone and happy Fitquest360 5th Birthday to us.

09.01.2022 Who in here is a barefooter? Ok next question... if you said yes to the above ... are you struggling with your fat loss, muscle gain, fitness overall health goals? Let me tie the two in together for you.... and even if you’re not a barefooter this will still make sense just read between the lines of the fire extinguisher and the splurge account Treat your fitness and health goals the same way you do your #barefootlife goals... think of your fat loss or fitness or muscle gai...n etc - whatever you’re goal - treat it as a debt you’re going to improve or even completely get in front with - use your fire extinguisher fund to put out one fire at a time. So how would you do this in terms of fitness and health? Well if you follow the barefoot blueprint you know that 20% of your income goes to your fire extinguisher account - to, you know, put out fires. Another 20% in other saving areas and 60% into your daily expenses. So start off by looking at what you could to start putting out your fires, but go in at around 40-50% effort - not or you’ll burn out. Could it be 1. Start exercising four times a week 2. Focus on eating four to five regular meals a day 3. Could it be giving yourself four days of no processed food 4. Could it be ensuring four meals a day are whole foods. Don’t go all in and cut out everything you think you need to. Your efforts will be cumulative - bit by bit chip away. The results will compound. And just like the barefoot guide - the more you make it set up with regular auto deposits that are set up, you don’t have to think about it. So how to do that with a fitness goal... food prep is a great start. What you have in reach you will eat. Like a splurge account - if it’s there you will eventually have/use it, if it’s not there it’s out of sight. Tucked away safely out of your reach. Have a try - forget perfection and work on your health and fitness as a fun project that you will see your hard work and effort pay off if you take the journey to put in the time. What you see in this image is a reflection of lots of challenges and lots of achievements that have culminated to an incredibly humble and strong woman. We all have lives outside the gym, but what we do in the gym can help us with those daily challenges. ... The sessions are not just about changing what we see on the outside, but changing the way we feel about ourselves. How you see yourself will determine a lot of how far you’ll push yourself. The gym can help you to find strength you didn’t know you could. It can help you focus in ways you need and it can create a safe and fun place to forget about anything else during that time. Thank you Karleen for being a part of our FQ360 community.

07.01.2022 Zoom ICE/HIIT 20 mins to get sweaty, fit and a great start to the weekend.

07.01.2022 If you are needing 2000 calories a day to maintain your healthy goal, and every Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, & Fri til lunch time, you have 2000 calories a day... and on Friday night and the weekend you ????? "You can't out train a bad diet" it's said. But you can make your diet match your training and that's how you get results, keep them, and can enjoy a balance and even indulge a little here and there. The key to that is "here and there" not every weekend let it all go. That'...s when you go round in circles and either stay where you are wishing you would change, or worse, slowly slowly see it creep up on you. Now plate 1 may not look that exciting to you, or maybe it does but either way you can see how you could easily over do it. It's not the size that matters, it's the quality and how it's prepared that makes the difference. You don't need to eat big, but you can if you like and if it holds the quality and nutritional value of plate 1. If you eat plate 2... well - you may not like hamburgers but a mars bar, a slice of cake etc.... small and not overly filling... you get what I'm saying. Happy Thursday to you all, have an awesome day. Alli. Allison Everett (Credit to Metabolic Precision for the image). Allison Everett is a certified Metabolic Precision Nutrition coach).

06.01.2022 Ever reach for the kids lunch box snacks and think - well they’re a pretty good option compared to say that Tim tam starring me in the face. You know you don’t need to eliminate all snacks and treat foods to reach a fat loss goal if that’s what you’re seeking - but being aware of your calories will keep you mindful of those little snacks and bites and how they could be railroading all the other hard work you’re doing to get your results. 126 calories in the scheme of things... isn’t a lot ... if you need to be say 1700 for a steady calorie deficit then what’s 126 out of the day hey? But let’s look at the macros here too. Carbs 24.2g carbs. Do you know how much in veggies that could equate to? Let’s check out the nutrition panel on my lunch today as an example. Carbs 21.5g carbs Sorry I don’t have a picture but picture this meal in your head as a little stir fry Chicken breast Zucchini onion mushroom and a tablespoon of delicious balsamic caramelised vinegar from Pukara Estate - you know the real good stuff Two healthy version tiny biscuits vs this entire meal. Which one will keep you feeling full, satisfied for a couple hours and help you to your goals of a strong healthy physique, help your recovery whether it’s workout or rest day, and stop sugar high cravings from rearing moments later. You can have the biscuits - you can have them every day and still get results. But - how long til 2 biscuits becomes another reopen of the pantry doors and leads to more snacks? What are you prepared to sacrifice to eat the biscuits (or other treats)? Many look at the chicken and veggies as I’m missing out on a treat and being human try looking at your choices in a way that helps you not just in the moment but in the moments and hours after Alli Allison Everett

This was something I learned recently in that I’m a yes person! Not much of a shocker to those who know me well right haha!. Every time you say yes to something good, are you saying no to something great? You might say yes, I’ll do an extra hour of work which will be good, it helps get things done, or it helps put another few bucks in the kitty, but are you saying no to something that is GREAT? Such as, spending an extra hour with your partner/kids or maybe an extra hour focusing on going for a walk and lowering your stress levels which would be SUPER GREAT because you’ll be even more productive when you get back to it again. So I’m hoping you’ll say no to take away tonight and yes to my $57 for 3 weeks of FITNESS AT HOME/LIVE/ZOOM WORKOUTS. 04.01.2022 Four different reasons why this is the best way for these ladies to train with us on zoom. Seona Martin lives in Creswick and this saves her a 20min drive eac...h way, and with a busy family life getting kids ready for school this means she doesn’t miss a workout or runs late.. Carly Raimondo lives in Geelong so she’s loving that she can do a live workout with us alongside her online coaching program she does with me. Simone Lee Gellie lives at Derrinallum and is an hour away, has four kids from 11months to primary school age - so this is ideal. She sometimes even sneaks into her laundry to do the workout Suzy Barrett is a super busy business woman in Ballarat who travels for work and loves the fact she can pop into her garage and back inside to get ready for work in minutes. Send me a message to chat about becoming a Fitquest360 member so we can get your fitness goals underway Alli Allison Everett Fitquest360

03.01.2022 How to create and make a habit stick. 1. Decide on your commitments (pick a training routine that you can do for now - how many days can you realistically commit to?) 2. Book in your commitment (book your time in with the gym/trainer - you are less likely to back out knowing you have a spot booked, knowing your trainer is expecting you to turn up) just like any appointment. 3. Plan ahead and give yourself 4 weeks to stick to that commitment. Be accountable. 4. Tick off your ...attendances and see how many if any you missed or rescheduled. 4. Keep going. If that routine worked, plan the next four weeks either stick to the same, or build up a little. Either way, find a routine you can manage, then when it becomes a habit you’ll know because one day you’ll just look back and see you’ve been at it for 6 months. But a habit can’t stick if it’s not started. It also is easier to maintain if you have that accountability. A group /trainer to turn up to be that physically (in the gym), virtually (zoom) or online (message checking in with your trainer, in your Facebook group) Habits beat intentions- so make the booking, the human nature to feel you must stick to that booking will help you a lot. Having the trainer to text will help you. Agreeing to post in your group page will help. create the habits you want by setting yourself some accountability and make sure you commit to something you can build on, rather than start where you want to be. Today I want to end our final 2020 award post celebrating the wonderful achievement of this long term member with you all - Nic Hoogland what an inspiration she is to us all.
