21.01.2022 What do you really want?

20.01.2022 This is a Thai style rice noodle salad that I frequently make in summer. Perfect for when it’s too hot to cook Steps: 1. Cook 1 block of rice noodles as per packet and allow to cool down as you prepare the rest of the ingredients 2. Prep the veggies - I usually grate 1 carrot, quarter and slice half a continental cucumber, 2 tomatoes, 1 spring onion. Can also add a handful of chopped coriander (optional)... 3. Make the dressing - mix 1/2 cup of sweet chilli sauce with 1/4 cup of rice wine vinegar 4. Mix all ingredients together and done! Generally I like to prepare this dish earlier and then store in fridge for a couple hours before serving, so it can absorb more flavour of the dressing, but it can be made to serve immediately. Ps. Add a protein, such as grilled chicken, tuna or lamb/beef patties and you’ve got yourself a filling, nutritious meal

18.01.2022 Do you feel like you are always mindlessly eating your food? One minute you have a donut, and before you know it, you’ve had 3.. yet you still feel unsatisfied. Most of us probably have experienced this at some point in our life, while others may experience it more often. There’s a practice that we call mindfulness which can help you savour and enjoy every bite of your food, whether it’s a salad, a steak or ice cream. ... If you want to know more - I’ve written all about Practising Mindfulness on the blog. see link in bio! Important Note: mindfulness is not a diet, nor is it a weight loss tool. It is simply a practice that we can implement to help us enjoy food as it should be enjoyed and build a healthy relationship towards food.

16.01.2022 Something to keep in mind if you have fussy toddlers!

12.01.2022 Don’t focus on calories and eating less - better to focus on getting more nutrients. Protein, healthy fats, carbs, fibre, variety of vitamins, minerals Diets don’t work long term. It’s about balance and having a healthy relationship with food

12.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone Fresh start to a new week - today, I’m starting a social media detox (the only type of detox I believe in), where I’m going to cut out any social media pages that makes me feel like Plus, I’m also going to start following more pages that encourage non-dieting, body positivity/body love, and give me all-round positive vibes . I fully encourage everyone should do this at least once a week!! Simply unfollow any pages that may encourage or trigger b...ody image comparison, are filled with diet culture/diet talk, may damage self esteem or convince you that you are not good/healthy enough as a person unless you do program A, B or C, or quitting this & that, or look a certain way or eating food X, Y or Z.. Who’s in? . . #monday #mondaysaintsobad #ifyoumakeittobe #socialmediadetox #onlydetoxineed #goodvibesonly #bodypositive #bodylove #nondiet #dietitian See more

12.01.2022 A lot of clients tell me that they have a problem with cravings, and then over eating on those craved foods - majority of the time it is sugary foods, and I usually tell them the craving comes from an over restriction and under feeding your body in the first place! https://nudenutritionrd.com/stop-binge-eating/

09.01.2022 Keen to try! ~ If you don’t have rice malt syrup, you could probably even swap to honey

09.01.2022 HAPPY DIETITIANS DAY! I'm proud to be a dietitian - even though at times it is tough to be the sensible and credible voice in the midst of a lot of loud and whacky nutrition misinformation If you want to know what dietitians do or, if you're interested in studying and becoming a dietitian yourself, feel free to shoot me a msg!

06.01.2022 For the coffee lovers

04.01.2022 Is this what Kitchen dreams are made of??

03.01.2022 When people say healthy eating is expensive... maybe put down the coconut oil/chia seeds/(insert other hyped up health item) , and grab some more fruits and vegetables (seasonal)

03.01.2022 Thoughts?? I say good on Nike for including all body shapes & size

03.01.2022 Loving your appearance is hard. It often seems like everywhere we look, we're being told we're not good enough. Not thin enough, not pretty enough, not curvy enough. But the tide is slowly starting to change. A growing number of women (for it is mainly women whose bodies are subjected to these ludicrous standards) are pushing back against society's ideals and sticking two fingers up to the physical pressures engrained in so many of us.... They've decided that actually, you can get a lot more done when you're not obsessing over your body all the time, and the number on the scale or the size of your jeans does not determine your self-worth. In order to get on board with this way of thinking, curating your Instagram feed is crucial you don't need to follow people who make you feel bad about yourself. Instead, follow people who lift you up.

02.01.2022 Our next episode is all about fad diets. The biggest lesson I learned from my years of dieting.. it just doesn't work for my body! Fad diets are still incredibly popular, but they can cause a lot of damage.

02.01.2022 I posted this on my story last week, and forgot to even reveal what it was that I made It's.. D E O D O R A N T Home made, natural and with no added chemicals. Got recommended by a good friend of mine who's been on the bandwagon for ages. ... I've been using it for about 1 week now, and can actually say for myself that it works!! AND I still feel fresh at the end of the day after applying just once in the morning (unless I had exercise in which case it is a given to reapply) . This is the basic recipe: 6 Tbsp Coconut Oil 4 Tbsp Bicarb Soda 4 Tbsp Arrowroot or Cornstarch Optional: essential oils . I halved the recipe to make a smaller batch just to try for first time. Also, I recommend that you do a skin test sample on your hands to make sure your skin is not sensitive or allergic. Have any of you guys tried this before? Or anyone have their own home-made foolproof recipe?? Would love to hear!
