23.01.2022 Conditioning day in the Elven Forest. My gorgeous client R loves the adventure side of her training. Each week I take her to a new location as well as a new workout. She loves the endorphins but also loves the surprise and new discoveries. It is a total pleasure working with someone so open and willing to try anything I throw at her. Love what I do. #newchallenges #newbeginnings #newday #newyear #clientlove

17.01.2022 Hey friends, I put this little christmas tree workout together for you to try post christmas feasting. Designed to work your core and get your heart rate up so you burn calories during the workout but also long after the workout too. Start with 1 rep of exercise 1. return to 1 then 2 reps of exercise 2. Then 1+2+3 and so on until 12. Let me know how you go or better still post a pic.

12.01.2022 So this happened. 14 years later and so worth the wait. This gorgeous man in the blue shirt is one of my favourite humans and best friends. We met about 14 years ago, at a gym where I had my first gig as a foundation Personal Trainer at a brand new gym in Rhodes. He was sitting on an exercise bike and I got talking to him about fitness, goals and life. I like him instantly and seemingly those feelings were reciprocated as we went on to train together. He introduced me to his ...wife, who I also adored instantly and she also became a client. We got to know each other very well and became great friends. We began socialising, we shared celebrations, we had babies, many years, events, shared Christmases later our kids now call each other Frousins which makes my heart melt. Its safe to say they are like family, the family we choose. Throughout this entire friendship Paul has kept fairly fit by going to the gym and using the bike, maintaining that he would never ride a real bike as he had no interest. In the meantime I have ridden 1000’s of kilometres, taught his wife how to ride bikes for triathlons and hounded him to get a real bike and come riding with me. No joy. Another year hounding, again no. But Covid hit, and lo and behold Paul discovered road riding with another mutual friend. Yay! I on the other hand have not been riding so much this year as my cycling buddies have all fallen out of sync so it just kind of fell away. I have really been missing my time on the bike of late, so on a whim late one evening asked if he’d like to go cycling the next day? Bingo, it was a yes. Woohoo! 12.01.2022 The weather this morning was PERFECT for running. I love a run in a drizzle. Keeps you cool, the trees are fresh and green, less people out, smells divine. Whats not to love? This weather may be with us for a while so why not make the most of it. Here are my best tips for running in the rain: 1. Wear a hat. 2. Wear quick dry/light socks (avoid cotton).... 3. Wear quick dry/light and fitting running gear (avoid cotton). 4. Run from home if you can so you can get changed straight out of your wet clothes when your'e done. If you have to drive take a towel and maybe a jacket for the drive home. Any questions or something you think I've missed reply in the comments. Otherwise enjoy your run and let us know how you go.

02.01.2022 Hey my feisty friends This time of year isn’t called the silly season for nothing. And on the back of this shitty year there is much to celebrate as we move forward into 2021 with fresh hope and energy. Sunday was no exception for me as I celebrated my new netball teams final win at the end of year Wolverines Christmas Party. Now I could blame the free flowing champers, or the excitement of new friends and frivolity, or peer group pressure?? But I'm going to suck it up and s...ay I just decided I wanted to party with my new mates. And we did. It was a great day with so much laughter my gut hurt on the day and so many drinks my head definitely hurt the next day. Now I should say I have been off the drink for a couple of months. After overindulging during COVID, and getting way too comfy with drinking most days, I started to feel a bit too puffy, lethargic and decided I needed a reset. (More on this in another post) Needless to say Ive been feeling great, getting way fit again and just feeling more like myself. Until Monday! Ha ha. I mean it's Christmas right? So here are a few tips if you do find yourself overindulging on food, drinks or both. PIck yourself up and dust off as quick as you can Don't drag it out. Try to get back on the wagon as quick as you can, with some solid hydration, sleep and good nutrition to replace what your body has lost. DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP. You are human, it's Christmas, it's been a helluva year, I mean there are plenty of good reasons why you have every right to celebrate occasionally. Most of you are getting into the swing of the celebrations and trying to squeeze for more into a week than the 168 hours we are delegated. With all that pressure and flying by your pants you are certain to come unstuck along the way. Just be nice to yourself and for more tips on recovery and looking after yourself after the celebrations check out my blog. Link in Bio.

01.01.2022 Grab your dumbbell and give this workout a whirl. Start with 1 rep of 1 then start again adding two reps of two. Always go back to 1 and work through the list adding on the last exercise before returning to 1.
