11.01.2022 BOTTOMS UP KETTLEBELL PRESS Thanks to @hpucoaching & @nicolleyanez i have been doing these before every pressing session. Here’s how:... Prior to a pressing session grab a small kettlebell or weight plate then; bring it up to your shoulder with a neutral hand position and press above your head. Then maintain a slow tempo on the eccentric part of the movement while trying to keep the kettlebell moving from side to side. 3-5 sets of 8-10 reps is ideal. I like to use the cue of imagining you’re in a cardboard box that’s only as wide as your shoulders and you’re tying to punch out the top. Here’s why: They help you stabilise the scapula and muscles surrounding your shoulder joint - which is an unstable joint due to the fact it’s like a golf ball and tee. They also help with your grip strength, can help you stay tight and help with focus. #fitstrong #gym #squat #benchpress #deadlift
