12.01.2022 This week my clients had the option to complete a fitness test. This was to record not only where their current fitness and strength levels are, but to give them something to work on and progress. I was very proud of the effort my clients put in and with all intention of wanting to improve. The numbers were amazing already, so the WANT to improve will have to be the motivation they need to PUT into each training session. I am so excited to work with ALL my clients (as always)... to challenge them, support them and share their health and fitness goals GIVE me a shout out to someone who inspires you to be a better you!

I used to think the same....but that got in the way of me being a good coach! I am the best coach because I don't want you to look how everyone (inc. yourself) thinks you should look, stuff that, who are they to decide.... I am the best coach because I want you to learn to love and appreciate what a healthy, strong, badass woman you are and then turn around and tell everyone who disagree to kiss it! 12.01.2022 Are you a TO DO LIST writer? But, find that you get to the end of the day and haven't got anything done. You have been busy all day, jumping from one job on the list to another and yet never really completing anything. Leaving you with a sense of frustration and failure. Telling yourself that you need to do BETTER tomorrow, need to be MORE organised, need to not STOP until you have DONE IT ALL....... Me too. But I was just beating myself up against a brick wall, setting myself up for failure, feeling like I wasn't ever doing enough. Here is a fantastic tip that changed all that for me. A FOCUS LIST: Write down ONLY 3 things you want to achieve for the day, make them small and attainable, for example: - Fold washing - Attend a fitness class - Make lunches They sound simple, but that's what you need to start getting the positive, productive vibes. Don't do anything else (on your mental to do list) until you have completed these 3 things. Everything else for the day is a bonus. Don't list anything that you cannot honestly complete in this particular day, for example: - Rearrange the linen closet - Meal prep a weeks worth of meals - Run 10kms The idea is to set yourself up, you will find that you will actually be MORE productive, just don't get distracted wanting to JUST do other things. Complete your focus list then move on. Give it a try, write your list before bed tonight and let me know how you go....

12.01.2022 Making time for yourself You know what you need to do, but how do you make it work into your already busy schedule? Schedule your week, as per normal, add all your commitments and those of other family members (then scratch half that shit off, just kidding). Now highlight your NON negotiables (work, school drop off/pick ups, appointments etc) and everything else becomes a ‘non priority’ things that can be changed, can wait until a later time (household chores, shopping, etc) ...or perhaps someone else can help you to accomplish (car pool kids sports, your partner/family, etc) Whilst Mummy guilt is a real thing, it also does not mean that we have to ‘do it all’ and all at once, this just leads to a very burnt out, miserable Mummy. Make time for yourself, don’t put yourself below cleaning the house on the list, it can all wait, you and your health can’t!

08.01.2022 When I think about how I can be the best coach for my clientele I try to work out what they need, but something seems to be missing! I know what MOST need, it's just they don't yet.... Yesterday I was reminded how my journey, with its ups and downs are the best tools I have to better understand and relate to my clients and along with that I also have all the knowledge and experience of not only what worked, but what didn't. 06.01.2022 My approach to nutrition and diet has been a WILD ride, like every human, we develop our relationship with food from the moment we are born. Growing up as 1 of 5 kids, we soon learnt, you ate what was put in front of you, finished what was on your plate and dessert/treats were something to enjoy, especially in a social occasion. What lessons/values around food were you taught growing up?

06.01.2022 Where did I start? I have always been into sport and I CAN be competitive (ok very haha) I have 4 brothers and growing up meant I had to step up or step out. But, I haven't always looked after myself and along with some self esteem/worth issues I soon found myself dieting on and off, not really knowing what I was doing.... Before having my kids I could count on one hand the vegetables I would eat. Once I had my son and feeling overweight and unhealthy I made the decision to change. It has been hard and I am still fighting and learning each day, but I am happy to say that the positive changes I have made have changed my life. MAKE THE CHOICE THAT YOU WANT TO BE BETTER AND DON'T SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS

02.01.2022 Are you or some of your family members FUSSY EATERS? Do you struggle to include enough fruit and vegetables into the family diet? Here are some tips to start to getting more vegetables and fruit into your meals, without really knowing it... TIP #1: Using a fine grater or food processor, grate your vegetables as fine as possible, not only do they cook quicker, they breakdown in the meal more, making it take on flavour without the texture (or visual for some) TIP #2 Start adding fruit and vegetables into meals that you already enjoy as a family such as: Milkshakes/smoothies, muffins, yoghurt icecream, egg & bacon pie, meatloaf, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, sausage rolls/pies, oven bakes etc TIP #3 Start with vegetables that have a mild flavour (sweet flavoured vegetables are always a fav too), but with all the goodness, such as, zucchini, carrot, corn, mushrooms, lettuce, cucumber, beans, pumpkin, capsicum, potato/sweet potato, eggplant etc. TIP #4 We all know why we should eat more vegetables and fruit, but look at it as not hiding vegetables as much as it is adding fibre, vitamins, minerals to your meals for the whole family FINALLY..... TIP #5 Cook your vegetables in different ways, they take on different flavours, leave them natural, frozen, roasted, steamed etc. Start with adding a little of your favourite sauces to them and gradually lesson the amount
