A GOOD coach will provide you with the structure and all of the tools you need to achieve your goals. They will offer accountability, on-going support and guidance. They will recommend solutions to issues you are struggling with and foresee and prevent potential problems from arising. . But they CANNOT do the work for you. They cannot exercise for you or force you to exercise. They cannot diet for you or force you to make good decisions when it comes to food choices. They cannot do the necessary mindset work to help you break free from your limiting beliefs. This is all YOUR responsibility. . A coach-client relationship is a PARTNERSHIP. Just as your coach has a responsibility to you when it comes to providing appropriate recommendations regarding nutrition and exercise - you have just as much responsibility to actually follow their recommendations. . There needs to be open communication at all times and plans should be discussed and decisions made as a team to ensure that you are being set up for the best possible success. If you dont understand why you are doing something - ask. If you dont like something - tell them. If youre struggling - reach out to them. Your coach isnt a mind reader! . As a coach I often get frustrated when people sign up and dont do their part. I must admit that I am very lucky to have amazing clients who work hard and own their shit if they arent compliant for whatever reason but there are always a few that just dont make an effort or communicate. . These are the ones that sadly never make any progress. These are the ones that never achieve their goals. And these are also the ones that will often put the blame on other people or make excuses instead of realising the fact that their lack of results is due to their lack of compliance and communication. . Before you sign up with a coach, make sure you understand your role in the partnership and make sure you are prepared to do the work. Give it a go & tag us when smashing it out! *** Note I am currently at 31 weeks pregnant, so taking it easy! Please only perform this workout if you are pregnant if you have clearance from your GP midwife first ***... Warm up: 20 reps ea x 3 rounds - Banded crab walks - Squats - Laying clams Workout: Part 1 Legs: - YBell Feet elevated goblet squats - YBells Back foot elevated lunge - YBell Lateral lunges - YBell Deadlift Part 2 Upper body: - Incline Push Up on Knees - Tricep Dips on Bench - Plated Side to Front Raises - YBells Bicep Hammer Curls - Seated Elastic Row Perform Part 1 & 2 X 20, then drop reps to 15, then 10 reps. 16.01.2022 40.9 weeks V 1 week postpartum . 1 week of loving you... Miss Charli .... A big hands up for the female body... seriously wow! Until I became pregnant I had no idea how freaking amazing woman really are! I still look at Charli everyday and think I carried her in my tummy for 9 months, growing every little vessel, organ, fingernail, hair (lots of that on her head too!!!) Its an incredible feeling & now she is here, she is already growing, feeding like crazy, sleeping (touch wood) like dream, she is the love of our life, we are SO smitten by her, simply cant get enough! . Body wise feeling good considering! Taking each day at a time! Its been rough... certain pp parts I had no idea about... the fact sitting down was hard I had no idea about! Went for my first walk yesterday... very short & very slow but omg felt so good to get out. 6 week pp journey to hopefully a full recovery! Cant wait to get strong again & build back some muscle, my butt has gone! Cant wait to get into my morning walk routine with Charli! My uterus is still contracting down but wow my tummy... its amazing seeing it shrink down & omg I feel so light! . So heres to one week down on being parents. There is NO way I could of done this without the BEST dad in the inner west! Thank you Jamie for everything you do for Charli and I. There is no way I could feel as confident coming home from hospital, no way I could be successfully breastfeeding, no way this ship would be running without. TBH its a slight relief for me, as much as I love training you guys and I am SO grateful for you all being very understanding and obeying the social distancing rule, I felt guilty being out there in the park with a group when the real thing we need to be doing right now it #stayinghome. . So Bootcampers, more from me on our group email but ...this is only a little set back, think of it as an extended Easter break, its not a time to stop training altogether, get stuck into some home workouts (Ill be sending through) make sure you go for a walk, daily, if not even twice a day.... the main thing is to move! . Please note I am 28 wks pregnant so some of my moves are modified. You can make these harder by add some plyometric moves such as a squat jump to the squats, skaters to the curtsy lunges abs more angle to the rows, push up etc! *remember if you are pregnant always get clearance from your GP before starting any fitness training! 05.01.2022 The evolution of the bump... so far! From 18 wks to now 32 weeks! So far I have put on 10kg! I have lost a hell of a lot of muscle though! Activity wise have been keeping up steps up high, walking between 12-14k steps per day. Getting 3 sessions in a week using YBells, Kettlebells, TXR... basic home workouts, I did train through my first 18 wks and kept the intensity up pretty high... but in saying that I have trained all my life so under my midwives guidance I was allowed... to continue this! 7.5 wks to go, not entirely sure can I am going to grow even bigger!!! Watch this space! Absolutely love being pregnant & I feel SO grateful I am able to experience this! Love feeling her move in my tummy! 04.01.2022 Yep Hi... I am still pregnant! . 41 weeks today and our little Miss is just way too comfortable in my belly! I guess I dont blame her, its pretty chilly outside! . The last couple of weeks have been a mix of emotions, like every new mum I thought for sure she was going to come early but she takes after me and is late to the party! If only she took after her dad, she would of been right on time!... . So even though I am a very patient person generally, this has been something else! Trying to let go and understand your body will go into labour when she is ready & I have absolutely no control! Even with the crazy amounts of chilli, pineapple, Raspberry leaf tea, walking & walking & walking! We are here just waiting for our mate!
