23.01.2022 Local and Integrated Planning A gathering of local residents together with Cr Amanda, Stone, Cr Sophie Wade, Nicholls Ward and Cr Stephen Jolly, Langridge Ward, met on Sunday late afternoon on the corner George and Greeves Streets to view what Local Area Place Making (LAPM) has delivered over the past 3 years. And the results of the works carried out by Council were sobering to say the least. The LAPM seeks to respond to council priorities, values and commitments, particularl...y as to consultation, climate change, greening and biodiversity, community safety and well-being and functional connectivity. It is designed to consult and be informed by the local community to get maximum buy in. It provides for participatory decision-making. So the proposed new version of the LAPM which will go to Council needs to be presented first to the community to ensure that it is informed and supported by the local neighbourhood.
