23.01.2022 Congratulations Ellie McKenzie - AFLW Draft Pick No.1 to Richmond! Ellie began her footy at Fitzroy dominating against the boys in mixed competition before Fitzroy had girls teams! She is a multiple FJFC Club Champion, B&F winner, premiership player, YJFL Team of the Year, Northern Knights co-captain, Victorian Representative, All Australian - to put it simply, one of the most decorated junior footballers in the country - and has attracted much attention for her amazing skil...ls, attitude and all round football ability. Her raking left foot, high marking and ferocious tackling are joy to watch. And she's one of the most humble people you'll ever meet. Just like her beautiful family... Ellie joins former Roygirl team mates Maddy Guerin (2017 Pick No.14) and Nell Morris-Dalton (2019 Pick No.6) in the AFLW. All at FJFC are very proud of her achievements to date, and wish her the best for a long AFLW career ahead. #goroys #fjfc
