25.01.2022 Rotary Donations in Kind collects reusable school items and gives them to schools in developing countries. This initiative benefits children in developing countries, and provides Victorian schools with a much better alternative to landfill. When recycling FPS furniture earlier in the year, our students learnt about the conditions of their peers in developing countries. They were encouraged to send warm messages to the children who would be receiving their desks. Thank you, Rotary Donations in Kind. What a positive project for our children to be involved in!

19.01.2022 Following advice from the Department of Education and Training we will be moving to remote and flexible learning from Term 2, to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). This means that all students who can learn at home must learn from home. This is a very clear directive from the Victorian Government based on the advice of the Chief Health Officer. The Departments latest advice on coronavirus can be found at https://www.education.vic.gov.au/coronavirus It is import...ant that we work together and support each other during this challenging time. We will be in touch with staff and parents and carers shortly with further details of what remote and flexible learning will look like at our school. In the meantime, you might find it useful to look at the Departments Learning from Home website. It provides resources and guidance for teachers and parents and carers. https://www.education.vic.gov.au//Pa/learningfromhome.aspx Please continue to stay safe and healthy.

Christmas Eve, ‘Le Réveillon de Noël’, is the night when gifts are exchanged and the biggest meal of the holiday is eaten, rather than on Christmas Day (jour de Noël) Dishes might include roast turkey with chestnuts, oysters, foie gras and even lobster! For dessert, a chocolate sponge cake log called a bûche de Noël is normally eaten. Another celebration, in some parts of France, is that 13 different desserts are eaten! Bon appetite!
