Handful of spinach 1/8 avocado (or any other healthy fat e.g. 1 tablespoon of flax, chia or hemp seeds) 1 scoop protein powder 1 scoop greens powder Cinnamon, to taste. Combine ingredients with ice and then blend until smooth. Add cinnamon on top and enjoy!

22.01.2022 Following the announcement of stage 2 restrictions by the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison on Tuesday 24 March 2020, personal training and boot camps are now limited to a maximum of 10 people. We have now implemented the following measures to all outdoor group fitness sessions in Rhodes and Chiswick: - A maximum of 9 participants and 1 instructor - 1 person per 4 square metres of ground area.... 21.01.2022 On Saturday we reopened our doors after working hard to make sure it was safe for you to return. Were operating a little differently so we can maintain strict hygiene and social distancing rules. This means: Patron numbers inside the centre will be limited in line with the latest Public Health Order and all visitors will be required to sign in and out Group fitness classes will be limited to 10 people A modified MAG and WAG gymnastic program will be recommencing... No stadium sports or group hirers at this time. Weve also modified class times and durations, restricted access to change room facilities, removed and rearranged equipment, and altered our drop off and pick up points to ensure we can maintain social distancing. All Health Club accounts will automatically be placed on an indefinite time freeze, effective tomorrow (24 March 2020). 21.01.2022 For this week's #mondaymeal we have a no fuss breakfast! Olive oil 3 eggs Spinach... 2 slices sourdough bread Ham avocado Shredded cheese Salt and pepper, to taste. Add oil to a pan and scramble three eggs. In a separate pan, sauté baby spinach until soft. Lightly toast bread and put on a plate. Add the scrambled eggs, spinach, ham, avocado, and shredded cheese to the plate. Add salt and pepper to taste.

18.01.2022 Dear members, There has been a lot of news coverage surrounding the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past months. At this time, the health and wellbeing of our members and of the general public is of utmost importance to us. We want to reassure members that there is no immediate concern for those visiting the leisure centre and that we are taking steps to ensure the centre is cleaned according to current advice from health authorities. From the NSW Health advice on hygiene...: Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol Cover your sneeze or cough with your elbow or with tissue Avoid close contact with people who are ill. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Stay home if you are sick Face masks are necessary only for people who have symptoms of fever, cough, sore throat and/or shortness of breath. 18.01.2022 For this week’s #mondaymeal we have a pumpkin, feta and beetroot salad! Salad: 2 cups butternut pumpkin, cut into cubes Feta... Beetroot, diced Cherry tomatoes, halved 4-6 cups spinach leaves Olives, pitted 1 tbsp olive oil Dressing: 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar Lemon juice (from half lemon) 1 tbsp maple syrup 2 tbsp olive oil Salt, to taste Preheat oven to 180C. Drizzle the pumpkin with olive oil and bake for 35 minutes or until golden. Combine dressing ingredients in a jar and shake. Place spinach in a bowl and then add pumpkin, beetroot, feta, tomatoes and olives. Gently toss to combine the ingredients. Drizzle the prepared dressing on top. Enjoy!

17.01.2022 We're wrapping it up for this week's #mondaymeal Here's what you'll need for our chicken and avocado wrap: Handful of shredded barbecue chicken Lebanese bread... avocado 1 tbs tzatziki Cucumber, sliced Beetroot, sliced Lettuce, chopped Onion, sliced Seasoning (e.g. paprika, oregano, salt and pepper), to taste. Spread the avocado and tzatziki onto the Lebanese bread. Add the chicken, cucumber, beetroot, lettuce and onion. Finally, add your choice of seasoning on top before wrapping the bread. Enjoy! 13.01.2022 For this week's #mondaymeal we have green eggs with extras! 23 free range eggs, whisked lightly 2 cups spinach avocado... Handful of cherry tomatoes Handful of olives Mushrooms, sliced Garlic, sliced Your favourite mix of herbs e.g. shallots, chives, parsley, basil or dill Avocado oil Butter Add a teaspoon of butter to a small saucepan and sauté the mushrooms and garlic. Place lid on pan and turn the heat to low. Add a teaspoon of avocado oil to another pan and add spinach. Sauté until soft and then add the whisked eggs. Lower the heat and mix consistently. Fold the herbs into the egg mix until eggs are set. Take the mushrooms and garlic off the heat. Combine all ingredients on a plate and serve with avocado slices, cherry tomatoes, olives and add extra herbs. Enjoy! Check content labels of each ingredient for macros.

09.01.2022 - GYMNASTICS & STADIUM CLOSURE - Dear members, After the advice from the state sports governing bodies, state and federal health authorities, and after careful review of cleaning and social distancing protocols, the decision has been made to close the gymnastics area and stadium (multi-purpose courts) at Five Dock Leisure Centre after close of business today (Friday, 20 March 2020) until further notice. This response has been made while keeping the health and safety of our ...staff and patrons in mind. The Health Club (gym) at Five Dock Leisure Centre remains open in accordance with advice from state and federal health authorities, under strict adherence to cleaning and social distancing protocols. We want to remind members of the importance of personal hygiene practices during this time. We have hand sanitisers available at the Health Clubs entrance and around the gym floor, as well as disinfectant wipes for members to use. The Five Dock Leisure Centre precinct is receiving a $3.2 million upgrade The City of Canada Bay will be creating a community and play space at Charles Heath Reserve, located next to Five Dock Leisure Centre. It will include an outdoor fitness station, regional playground, barbecue facilities, picnic area, and public artwork. Five Dock Leisure Centre will also be receiving a new caf and amenities as part of the project. Were calling on you to help shape the space. Provide feedback on what kind of fitness or playground equipment youd like to see, and share your innovative ideas for the public artwork.

04.01.2022 Its been 7 days since the leisure centre was closed. We hope everyone is practising good hygiene, social distancing and isolation during this time. More importantly, we hope everyone is safe and healthy By this time, we understand if most people are feeling a little cooped up in their homes. The good news, well be sharing weekly workout videos and challenges for our staff and members to participate in! We cant change the fact that Australia is in self-quarantine, but we can at least try to continue some sort of healthy routine together and have fun while doing it. 04.01.2022 CONCORD CARNIVAL CANCELLED Given widespread community concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the decision to cancel this years Concord Carni...val. As disappointing as this is, the health and wellbeing of our community comes first. Thank you to everyone for your support and enthusiasm in the lead up to the carnival.

04.01.2022 Dear members, Following the advice from Basketball NSW, Football NSW Futsal, and Netball NSW in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we will be suspending all basketball, futsal and netball competitions until 2 May 2020, effective immediately. Pickleball Association of Australia has also recommended ceasing all social play until the end of April. Teams will be contacted directly regarding reimbursements for this period.... Our stadium courts will remain open for casual hirers. We advise extra caution to our elderly hirers and recommend all players apply social distancing and good hygiene practice. Weve increased our cleaning practices across the centre and have hand sanitisers available at the entry of each program area for members to use. Due to the rapidly evolving situation and inundation of new information, we will endeavour to notify our members of any important changes to our service. We do recommend members visiting NSW Health for daily updates.

03.01.2022 This week for our #mondaymeal we have Christos' Mexican fiesta! Base (makes four meals) 500g lean mince 1 brown onion, chopped... Mexican spice mix of choice 2 cups brown basmati rice (or rice of choice). Topping for each meal 1 cup chopped lettuce 1 tomato chopped 1/4 avocado mashed Top with sour cream, salsa and extra paprika (optional). Rinse the rice and place in a rice cooker. Brown the mince in a fry pan, add onion and cook for five minutes. Add Mexican spice mix and cook to instructions. Prepare toppings while mince is finishing. Plate up rice topped with Mexican mince, add lettuce, tomato, avocado, salsa, sour cream and paprika. Enjoy!

02.01.2022 This week for our #mondaymeal we're bringing you Chris' sometimes breakfast: 2 eggs 1 cup baked beans Feta cheese... Olives Bacon rashers Oregano. Place the bacon rashers in a pan and fry on a light heat. Once cooked, place them on a plate and crack the two eggs in the same pan. Once fried, combine the eggs and bacon rashers. Fold in half long ways and stand it up. You must stand on one foot while you attempt to pick up the paper with your mouth only! Weve had some of our WAG gymnasts do it, so its perfect for all ages!
