25.01.2022 To kick start the Christmas holidays, our service had build a bear come to our service to conduct an incursion. This was a huge hit with all the children last year as an excursion, and was just as exciting for them all this year as an incursion. Children made a bear or dog and then decorated a t-shirt for them to wear. After a yummy pasta lunch, the children worked in small groups to construct and decorate a gingerbread house. The children worked so well together and learnt new forms of cooking and baking skills.
24.01.2022 This afternoon at OOSH the children have been constructing and decorating ginger bread houses! They looked great and tasted delicious

13.01.2022 To celebrate NAIDOC week, we decorated photos of the Emu in the Sky, a constellation that has cultural significance across many Indigenous communities. The children learnt about how Indigenous people used the angle of the constellation to figure out when to forage for food. They also participated in an activity course where children learned about how Five Dock lies on Wangal land, and about how many Indigenous languages there are. A highlight for many children was Alexis giving them a Eucalyptus lolly to teach them about how many ways the plant can be used!
10.01.2022 Happy National Grandparents Day Sunday the 25th of October is Grandparents Day and we want to thank all the amazing Grandparents in our OOSH children’s lives. Grandparents and children have a special connection that is proven to both make grandparents live longer, and also make children more emotionally resilient. Grandparents Day is an opportunity to treasure that connection and spend some quality family time together.
08.01.2022 To those who celebrate in our OOSH community let the lights bring good health, happiness and prosperity
