22.01.2022 Earlier this year our team partnered with local village leaders to get these tanks set up and operational. Getting to return to Wakau this year was exciting to ...see the tanks full and functional several months later. When asked "have you noticed a difference in the village since these tanks were installed?", one village elder replied "Our children use to get very sick from the river water, but now they are healthy again." We couldn't be more excited for them!
17.01.2022 We're home from PNG with our hearts forever changed. We'll miss the incredibly resilient people, the dedicated volunteers we served alongside (including dancing nurses) and the breathtaking sunsets. We're working on a special highlight reel, so stayed tuned for a wrap up of our trip.
10.01.2022 It was HOT in PNG! People came to the ship to see doctors and dentists and waited on the deck in very hot and humid conditions. So we decided to see if any of our patients would like to try some ice.
09.01.2022 Along with primary health care, we delivered a good dose of laughter to Parama.
04.01.2022 In December we met this gorgeous little guy and his dad. They travelled 'plenty' (about 8) hours in a dinghy to come to the ship and see the ophthalmologist in order to have surgery to remove the cataract. His smile after the eye patch came off was priceless.
