17.01.2022 FISC is excited to introduce some new members of staff.... Hello, my name is Sarah and I am so happy to have just started at Five Islands Secondary College as the Student Support Officer (kind of like a Youth Worker). My job is to work alongside the wonderful Wellbeing team to support young people to be safe, connected, happy, healthy and experience success in their learning. It will be my job to get to know the school and see what would be useful in terms of supporting the ...well-being of the students here and running programs that support FISC students to be the very best versions of themselves they can be! I will also be another safe, caring, non-judgmental person at school who can provide support to you if you are feeling stressed, sad or have some hardships in your life you would like some help with. I am very excited about my new role as I love walking alongside young people, watching them learn and grow, overcome hard times, increase resilience and experience success. Lucky for me, I will be working out of the Well-being Hub. Come and say hello! Hey, In case you haven’t met me yet, my name is Emily and I am the FISC Chaplain. What is a chaplain I hear you ask? Good question. My job is to be here to support you in all areas of your wellbeing. This year I am here Tuesdays and Thursdays, and you can find me in the Wellbeing office / Hub. I’m always up for a chat or to help with school work. Look forward to seeing you around! Emily
