21.01.2022 **Temporary Suspension Of All Flying Operations** Dear Five Point Family, Firstly, and most importantly I would like to extend my most sincere thanks for the support that you have all shown the school over the years. Without the efforts of a number of you we would not have the school we have today.... As has always been the case, your safety is most important to me. After consultation with professionals and careful review of the current requirements relating to the COVID19 situation I see no way that we can do the right thing and still continue flight operations for the near future. This decision has not been made lightly. I have a new born at home and the thought of no income for an extended period is gut wrenching but I and many of you are not alone. This has far reaching affects on the aviation industry but one thing I do know is that we are resilient and will come back stronger for it. To keep our spirits high I encourage you all to stay engaged on our social media and post positive aviation pictures, comments and discussions. I have setup a friends of five point group on Facebook for current and past students to talk shop on. Now is a great time to bunker down and get that theory study done. If anyone wants theory guidance I can be available online to help. I will also organise some online hangar talks via Zoom if anyone is interested. I want to stress that this is a temporary measure in-line with government guidance and more importantly its the right thing for us all to do. We will do our best to make it out the other side and once flying commences again our priority will be on re-currency and getting our current students back underway. 18.01.2022 As we pack up for 2019 I have been reflecting on the great achievements of our students and crew. I would like to say thank you to all that have supported the flying school this year. 09.01.2022 Hi all, We are planning to hold our first fly away on the 16th of February this year just for the day to Moruya. Skydive Oz based in Moruya are running tandem skydive specials so we thought it would be a good opportunity to make a day out of it. Also, If you would like to hire one of our aircraft to fly down or if you would like to attend but don't have a licence and or PPL/Nav endorsement let me know and we will work something out.
