25.01.2022 It is with an extremely heavy heart we confirm our Five Senses Twilight Market for May will be cancelled in light of current circumstances! Our fabulous community are still creating, making and dreaming so please please please stalk their socials, share their posts, if youre in a position to do so buy their products or a voucher to redeem at a later date! A lot of our foodies are still trading, offering takeaway & delivery options... please support them!... We need to put our money where our hearts are now more than ever Newcastle! None of us know what the next 6 months looks like but when it is safe for us to go back to the way of life we are used to enjoying we will celebrate together again & I am excited for Five Senses to be a platform for our amazing community to reconnect with our wonderful city! We will be supporting @worldsgreatestshave for anyone who has registered to shave the world from blood cancer; wed love you to shave with us!... Join us at Lambton Park from 4pm for a celebration of delicious food, craft beer & fine wine, divine coffee, awesome music, loads of entertainment for the little ones and the most fabulous line up of market stalls under the stars! 10.01.2022 Newcastle! My heart is oh so full! Three years ago @fivesensestwilightmarket was born as a means for me to launch @alamodeevents to the people of Newy. An avenue to showcase what I was capable of as an event planner, to secure more corporate gigs, parties, weddings, fundraisers, any cause for celebration! A one off event, an opportunity to share my passion with the people! Of course if ever theres an opportunity to support a charity Im going to take it & so the event became... a platform to fundraise for @leukaemia_foundation with @worldsgreatestshave activities aplenty! And in true events spirit the skies opened for weeks in the lead up, water birds took up residence on the park that was to play host & the local authorities advised against proceeding but there were brave heros booked to shave their heads with us, I had discovered an amazing lineup of creatives & foodies & winemakers & musicians who were ready to showcase their craft and I had been out in the community meeting the people & I had promised them an event so on the eve of that inaugural Five Senses the whole site plan was changed, the rotunda & the area around it was off limits because the last thing we wanted to do was damage our beautiful home but the show would go on! And it did... the sun came out, the music played, the people turned up, the heads were shaved, the wine flowed, the divine smell of food filled the air, the creatives shared their stories, the punters put their money where their hearts were, the vibes were all time and I fell in love... with the place, the people, the magic & right there Five Senses Twilight Market became a seasonal event! Last night I took a moment to reflect on those years, the people Ive been blessed to work with, the friends Ive made, the community spirit, the talent, the opportunities Ive had to support local creatives, passion projects & charities close to my heart, the people who have supported me, the highs, the lows, the special guests, the locals, the magic and I pulled my phone out & snapped this little memory! In that moment I didnt intend a ridiculously long appreciation post but Newcastle, friends of Five Senses, my supporters; you all rock! Big Love x

06.01.2022 Important Announcement Hi Newcastle... Ali here with a very important announcement regarding this weekend! It has been brought to our attention on numerous occasions since cancelling this weekends event that it is still showing as going ahead on Facebook. Please note the event on Facebook has not been published by us & unfortunately after several requests & reports we have not been successful in having it removed!... As much as we would love to be lighting up Lambton Park with you all Sunday’s event has most certainly been cancelled! In good news I will be popping up amongst some of Newcastle’s wonderful small businesses at @3cowperstreet with my new label @alamode_thelabel A La Mode The Label donates $2 from every tee & $1 for every $30 spend to our @thebighugbox Christmas delivery and is a platform for me to continue paying it forward aswell as collaborating with some of our fav local creatives to spread the kindness! In the lineup you will find products made in collaboration with some of your favs; @loneprinting, @dianabowerdesigns, @regal_wraps, @leoandstar_ , @lauraelizabethjewellery & @pomegranatesisters and you will also find Five Senses stallholder @plantlife.newcastle alongside us for this 2 day pop up event! We will be back tho for a festive Five Senses celebration of much merriment & Christmas cheer on Sunday 29th November so save that date Newcastle; you wont want to miss this one Until then stay safe, stalk our makers, visit our foodies, take an @alamodeevents hosted wine tour to our winemakers & keep believing in the magic... we will celebrate together again when we can delight all the senses & it will be fabulous Big Love... Our priority is keeping our vendors & visitors safe and sadly with the restrictions of this current covid world we are unable to comply with requirements of our Council & NSW departments or create the five senses vibe we know & love and provide the experience our audience deserves ... We hope to be back in 2021! Until then stay safe, stalk our makers, visit our foodies, take an @alamodeevents hosted wine tour to our winemakers & keep believing in the magic... we will celebrate together again when we can delight all the senses & it will be fabulous We are collaborating with as many of our makers as we can through @alamode_thelabel so we can continue fundraising for our @thebighugbox delivery to the Calvary Mater this Christmas.
