20.01.2022 Drummy tiles can cause all sorts of issues if left too long. Tiles that sound hollow when you walk on them are potentially waiting to just POP. This "small" job turned into the owner needing the entire house retiled due to the tiles being laid with poor quality glue, no expansion joints to allow movement and grout left to juts fade away. 19.01.2022 OH NO! Guess who has to jump in the pool to retrieve these mosaics!! This kind of issue can be avoided by ensuring you use the correct chemicals in your pool and schedule in maintenance to drain the pool and re-grout all the tiles, keeping them in place for years to come. 13.01.2022 When your shower is leaking, please do not do what this client has done! Tiling over tiles, no matter how many layers (in this case 3) will sort out the leak nor the damage left behind the walls. Always call a fully qualified, licence, insured tiler for an expert opinion.

Never ever leave a leaking shower always look for the signs such as discolouring under ceilings or in walls. Grout & Slicone that never seams clean, Leaking through shower screens or your hob and damp patches or mouldy smells. Grout is always pourous, simply topping grout up will not fix a failed waterproofing membrane, always check with a qualified tiler and waterproofer for ...the most accurate way to ensure your shower is in tip top condition. 11.01.2022 And absolute nightmare for this owner who thought 2 years ago a "tiler" had fixed his leaking balcony. Unfortunately this has turned into a costly repair as this "tiler" happened to only be a handyman and not only has he laid tile over tile, he has failed to waterproof correctly causing more damage to the unit and an unpleasant additional expense. Please always check your trade are qualified, experienced, licensed and insured with references before taking the cheapest options... available. Waterproofing should always be done by a licensed professional and come with the certificate to ensure that its complain and warranted with QBCC for 6 years.
