Couple of loads of washing done, dishes up to date, lounge cleaned and just needing a vacuum, and Most importantly - pushing through the Monday morning business chores. You see the key to staying up to date is keeping it regular... find a time that suits you each week to get your coding done, pay the bills that have come in, take a quick peak at your P&L, shoot your Accountant the query thats been on your mind... even just catch up on the filing! For most micro businesses an hour or 2 a week is all you need and will help you keep on top of most things.

15.01.2022 Statement from Commissioner of Taxation, Chris Jordan AO: Earlier this week, the ATO suffered its worst unplanned system outage in recent memory. This was an ex...tremely unusual and unfortunate event with the outage caused by a significant and unprecedented failure of storage hardware. ATO staff and people at HPE have worked around the clock over the last week to bring systems back online progressively. Our website, the Tax Agent Portal, BAS Portal and Business Portals are up and running and we are seeing continued improvements in their functionality. We are continuing to work on the stabilisation of ATO Online services. We are realistic that there may be some intermittent performance issues in the next couple of days as the full restoration process proceeds. All refunds that were due to issue when the system went down on Monday have now been processed and will be paid today and tomorrow. Any other refunds in the system will be fast-tracked to ensure people get these payments as quickly as possible - we have devoted additional resources to ensure the vast majority of people get their refunds on time. We know the outages this week have caused inconvenience, especially so close to Christmas, and I apologise for that. As we return to normal operations next week, we will be fully investigating the events of the last week. There will be a comprehensive and independent review to help us answer the questions exactly what happened, how and why, and what measures need to be taken to avoid such a situation in the future. 05.01.2022 I finally took the time last night to create a daily list for pocket money and an extra list where the kids can earn other money. Ive been talking about it with them for a while... well today they have spent the day checking the chores and are currently sweeping and mopping the house... today is the day I have discovered just how obsessed with earning money my kids are... and my house has never been so clean in the July school holidays while Im working... a definite bonus of working from home and teaching the kids responsibilities at the same time.

03.01.2022 So the kids school has been closed due to no water; it always reinforces my decision to run my business from home. Makes my life so much easier when Im not scratching for sudden childcare. One is currently curled up on the chair under a blanket watching a movie and the other is playing lego with some very interesting sounds (dont think it is going the way he wants it to, not cursing but definitely not happy). After so much going on over May an unexpected day off will do them the world of good.

I have reported this to ACORN...S, and now have a disclaimer on my website that says the same. The email address the scam was sent from was only missing the .au and they took the basic information direct from my website and made the rest up, however a shrewd mind can see straight through the scam with the obvious details they have wrong. Please help me get this out to the general public by sharing or commenting... I would hate for anyone to get scammed into giving these ***cks cash or their details under my name. I am just very grateful for the few that actually contacted me to advise me of what was going on. Now it is just a matter of getting it out there that this is another scam going around. See more
