24.01.2022 My Carbatec order arrived so I got an excuse to go visit the Sydney store today. A few Kreg Australia bits to help me finish #FFKSS Project 2. Took a cheeky peek at some other stuff, but was good and stayed on target

21.01.2022 Building continues on Kevin Groner's sander station and had to share this little routing setup. I shortened my new Kreg Australia straight edge guide to one section and recalibrated it for the 12mm bit in my router. Finding this much easier than doing this on the router table like I usually would.

20.01.2022 This is so cool. A little while ago a lady approached me for help with making a collection box for the Faith Emanuel Baptist Church in Philidelphia. She had never made anything before and only had a drill and hand tools but liked my Coin Run Money Box and wanted to do her own version. On the left is her final (huge!) creation. She even carved "Change for Faith" by hand under the perspex. Awesome job Sharon, this is the first time I've seen someone make one of my designs. Great job!

20.01.2022 I put the new Kreg Australia 90 clamps to work right away on #FFKSS Project 2 #benchseat and it's looking awesome. Tomorrow I'll attach the top and start work on the storage drawers. Very excited this is coming along better than expected!

20.01.2022 Thanks to the folks who have used my Amazon Affiliate links I've been able to step up my drill bit game. I've wanted some countersink bits and hinge bits for ages... The plug cutters were an impulse buy Looking forward to trying out these Make it Snappy Tools, Inc. bits.

19.01.2022 Kevin "Makin' Sawdust" the Sanders new home assembled and test fit. A drawer, few floating shelves and some trim then we are done. Tool storage area coming along nicely... Only one misaligned dado Oops... No matter, adds character

18.01.2022 Time for a Quick Workshop Fix. Found this plug in LED down light in the garbage. A hole saw, a few MDF scraps and screws into my garage door opener motor brace later and the spot I do most of my work in has even now illumination

16.01.2022 Goofball maker shot I've decided to break #FFKSS Project 2 into two parts. The bench seat is done so I want to get the video out this week. Next I'll do a cheeky little follow-up with the rolling storage crates. #spottedgum #woodworking #aussiemaker @ Sydney, Australia

12.01.2022 My #FFKSS Project 2 #benchseat for Kreg Australia in situ in the Sydney sunshine on my balcony. The spotted gum was a tough customer but it just glows. I love the clean faces pocket hole joinery gives you. Video out next week, followed by some matching rolling storage crates that will live underneath. (Which will also hide the leg pockets )

11.01.2022 In case you ever asked the question "Is Fixit Fingers a massive Geek?" and the Analytical Chemistry degree, Geocaching, and Sandpaper Testing didn't quite give you the answer... I present my latest Instructables... The DIY Virtual RPG Tabletop! I designed it to DM my weekly Dungeons & Dragons game for some old school mates and we have great fun https://www.instructables.com/DIY-RPG-Virtual-Tabletop/

09.01.2022 #FFKSS Project 2 Progress. Drilled more than I screwed today... Because I ran out of fine thread screws What a shame! Looks like I'll have to go to @carbatec next week and spent my gift voucher... On screws...yeah, only screws... Absolutely no chance of picking up aaaannnything else

08.01.2022 What sort of Kreg Affiliate would I be if I didn't' share this. The wait is over! The next generation of Pocket Hole jigs are now available from Carbatec! https://www.carbatec.com.au/brands/kreg?aff=4

07.01.2022 What started as a plant stand made from spotted gum decking came out far too nice and is now a bench seat for the balcony instead. The second instalment of #FFKSS for Kreg Australia & Carbatec is now live putting a host of Kreg Tools together to build this solid hardwood piece of garden furniture. Enjoy!
