24.01.2022 We now have a small milling machine and metal lathe in house complementing our 3D printer which expands our capabilities to design and manufacture small parts for any fixes you may have.

24.01.2022 The first couple of bikes went out last week from the Fix It Foster workshop in Blackheath! One was a young ladies bike needing easier to shift gears and other two were classics that needed a little tlc including new drivetrains. Get in touch if need a bike serviced or want to learn how to fix your bike.

14.01.2022 Last week we increased the travel on a set of Fox 36's from 150mm to 160mm on this Commencal Meta TR 29 with a simple replacement of the air cartridge. We also did the same to a set of Fox 34's on a Giant Trance and additionally gained 6.5mm rear travel with the removal of a spacer in the rear shock. This was all done with due consideration given to suspension kinematics and bike geometry. If you are interested in discussing suspension or geometry changes to your bike, feel free to get in touch!

08.01.2022 The sign went up today. Hooray! Fix It Foster Bikes and Engineering is open for bike servicing, repairs to most things and/or happy to teach you how to do the repairs yourself.

04.01.2022 Not only do we fix bikes but are happy to fix or teach you how to fix most things. This 3D printer was having problems and I guided the young man who owned it through the process of pulling it apart and troubleshooting the problems. He is now back printing again.

02.01.2022 I am a father, qualified teacher and mechanical engineer, and perpetual tinkerer. I have started a small bespoke business and would like to offer the following services: - I am happy to service any bikes from kids bikes to high end mountain or road bikes. - Personalised bike service and maintenance lessons: An opportunity for you to learn how to fix your own bike whether it is general maintenance, suspension rebuilds, troubleshooting that annoying squeak rattle of other issue..., a quick fix on the trail, or preparing your bike for a days ride. - Custom bike parts and fixes: I have a 3D printer and will increase my tooling to be able to offer custom parts and fixes. - Bike builds, you bring the parts and I can either build your bike the right way or we can do it together. - Advice re frame repair and tuning of your suspension Message me to make an appointment or chat about your repair/project needs.
