25.01.2022 We urge the NSW Government to adopt the Metro Inquiry's recommendations including: saving the T3 Bankstown Line, releasing the full Business case, and restoring the Inner West Line for west of Bankstown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lv0_6kpBCQw

24.01.2022 Bring Back Our Direct Trains to City www.RestoreInnerWestLine.org.au

23.01.2022 The Restore Inner West Line community action group calls on Transport for NSW to implement both Option 2 and 3 in rail planning for west of Bankstown - Bring back "City to Liverpool via Regents Park" - Bring back "City to Bankstown via Regents Park" - Keep direct train from Liverpool to Bankstown... https://restoreinnerwestline.org.au/submission-for-future-/

22.01.2022 Upgrading signalling on the existing Sydney Trains Network is a faster and better value alternative than replacing working train lines with Metro. The Sydney Trains Network can run trains every 2 minutes with digital signalling upgrades. Sydney Metro only has trains every 4 minutes in peak and government documents show no plans to increase frequency of services. Transport Minister Andrew Constance has publicly stated that upgrades to existing infrastructure can deliver services every 2 to 3 minutes on the Sydney Trains Network. 19.01.2022 "The government always talks about Metro Southwest as an upgrade of the Bankstown line they deliberately overlook the fact it’s Sydenham to Bankstown and there's all these stations west of Bankstown..." https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au//5723eefb55d4b2f79793643

19.01.2022 **T5 Cumberland Line** It has been brought to our attention that the T5 Cumberland Line may be phased out once Sydney Metro City & Southwest opens. We have seen... a government plan for the removal of the direct train from Liverpool to Parramatta in the Sydney Trains timetable to be introduced over the next 6 years. Western Sydney residents need more trains to Parramatta and Liverpool not less services. More information will be made available once clarification is provided by Transport Minister Andrew Constance and/or Transport for NSW.

15.01.2022 Liverpool should not have to lose its direct train to City via Bankstown because the government wants to appease the interests of property developers from Sydney's eastern suburbs

08.01.2022 It's not too late to Have Your Say on Future Rail Services West of Bankstown Station in 2024. The online survey closes on Monday 27 July 2020. We support Option 2 including restoring the Inner West Line from City to Liverpool via Regents Park. https://yoursay.transport.nsw.gov.au/west-of-Bankstown

08.01.2022 ANYONE FANCY HAVING THEIR DEMOCRACY BACK?

06.01.2022 PAPER PETITION TO EXTEND THE SOUTH WEST RAIL LINK to the new Western Sydney Airport http://www.tinyurl.com/SWrailPetition

02.01.2022 We are encouraged by the Transport for NSW community consultation process for future rail services west of Bankstown. It is a substantial improvement from when the Inner West Line (City to Liverpool via Regents Park and City to Bankstown via Regents Park) was removed without any forewarning in 2013.

01.01.2022 Transport NSW have today launched a survey inviting feedback from the local community about the proposed rail options for stations west of Bankstown. I strongly... urge all commuters to submit their input and feedback about the proposed Metro routes before 27 July, via this link: https://yoursay.transport.nsw.gov.au//survey/have-your-say Transport NSW has proposed three options, sadly none are a complete restoration but the preferred option (Option 2) will in effect partially restore the Inner West Line, allowing customers west of Bankstown including Villawood, Chester Hill and Sefton to regain access to the City Circle. Under Option 2 commuters from Birrong and Yagoona will however need to either change at Bankstown to use the Metro or at Lidcombe to access the City Circle. Option 1 includes shuttle train services to operate between Bankstown and Lidcombe as well as Bankstown and Liverpool. It will require all commuters west of Bankstown to endure interchanges at Lidcombe or Bankstown for a direct service to the city. Option 3 includes shuttle train services between Liverpool and Bankstown, with Birrong becoming the major interchange for commuters accessing the Bankstown line. Commuters utilising Villawood, Chester Hill and Sefton stations would again be required to interchange for trains to the city. It is important that our community has its say regarding the proposed rail services west of Bankstown to ensure the needs of all commuters west of Bankstown are met by the NSW Government.

01.01.2022 Thousands of Western Sydney commuters are at risk of having NO TRAIN when Premier Gladys Berejiklian gives herself 35 trains every hour to the City. Unless the ...Inner West Line is restored as both the Liverpool to City via Regents Park AND Bankstown to City via Regents Park service, commuters from multiple stations West of Bankstown will be forced to interchange several times to reach the City Circle. Chatswood in Premier Berejiklian's electorate of Willoughby will have an increase from 20 trains on T1 North Shore Line to 35 with the addition of 15 trains per hour on the Sydney Metro. Birrong Station used to have 2 direct train lines to the City but soon will have none forcing commuters to interchange at Bankstown then Sydenham or Central to reach the City Circle. Please let Transport for NSW know that it is important to Restore Inner West Line - Liverpool via Regents Park and to Save T3 Bankstown Line for all stations to have trains to the City. Have Your Say on Planning for rail services west of Bankstown Station in 2024. This survey closes 5pm Monday 27 July 2020 https://yoursay.transport.nsw.gov.au/west-of-Bankstown Fight back against the government's cuts to our train services!
