So, if your car needs a service while youre stuck at home, dont put it off. FJ Manning Motor Repairs is offering a free no-contact collection and delivery services to enable people to get their cars serviced. 19.01.2022 Hand sanitiser can damage your cars interior. We dont recommend storing a large pump bottle of hand sanitiser in your car. The heat build-up may cause the alcohol in the sanitiser to boil, resulting in an expansion of the sanitisers bottle. This, in turn, might result in leakage and a mess that will require an extensive cleaning effort. It is a better idea to carry a more manageable-sized bottle, that can be on or near your personal effects, whether in the home, office or on the road.

18.01.2022 Can I have a passenger in my cars front seat? To prevent transmission of the virus, the official advice is to maintain a 1.5-metre distance from other people and to avoid physical contact. That means, unless youre the proud owner of a car with a 1.5-metre centre console, its probably best you dont have another person in your car at all, let alone in the front seat.... That, of course, excludes people from within your household. If you must share a vehicle with someone, you should both avoid touching the same surfaces, avoid touching your faces and both wash your hands before and after getting in the vehicle. Disinfecting any touch points in the car is also advised.

18.01.2022 Can my vehicle get sick from the coronavirus? Nothing will happen to your vehicle should the coronavirus get onboard. But if not properly cleaned, your vehicle could be a hotbed of coronavirus and other infections and germs. It is for this reason that we suggest using hand sanitisers and disinfecting wipes to wipe down the interior of your car and any other area that could be considered a high-touch area. A good rule of thumb is to clean areas that you contact regularly and to sanitise your hands on an hourly basis.

16.01.2022 Here's an interesting story a lady told us. The lady was not known to FJ Manning, her Land Rover Discovery broke down on the 21st July in Brisbane , the lady called the RACQ and they towed the vehicle to Austral Land Rover in Ann St. Austral provided the lady with a estimate to repair the vehicle (see estimate below), understandable the lady was a little taken back at the repair estimate and decided to get a second quote. That's when she told us her story. She asked us to pic...kup the car from Austral and provide her with a second estimate, (see below). We at FJ Manning could find nothing wrong with the Turbo, nothing wrong with the Oil Level Sensor, the rocker cover leak took two minutes to fix simply need to be tighten down, the car did need brakes it did need the tail gate fixed and did need front lower control arm bushes. It also needed a new power steering hose (see photo) two tyres a wheel alignment and it's 60k service which we completed. The reason the car broke down was a simple electrical issue. 12.01.2022 For your protection we offer contact-free collection and return. Prior to getting in the car, were spraying the door handles with Glen 20 and wiping them down with antibacterial wipes. Then were disinfecting all the commonly touched things inside the car, like door handles, the steering wheel and the gearstick. When were handing the car back, were doing the same process again. Plus, all of our staff are wearing disposable gloves. Were also disinfecting car keys.

05.01.2022 Whats the best way to clean your vehicle to reduce the existence of coronavirus? Alcohol works best in your vehicles interior. It is the cleaner most used by manufacturers of most automotive interiors today. All it takes is a quick wipe to clean most germs and fingerprints. Soap and water will work, too. Spend some extra time on the steering wheel. The steering wheel has four times the number of germs, found on an average toilet seat, thanks to all the cracks and crevices o...n the rim and spokes. Do not use any type of bleach or hydrogen peroxide on your vehicles interior. Both chemicals will put an end to the coronavirus germs, but they will also cause damage to the vinyl and plastics used in most modern vehicles today.
