18.01.2022 Jobkeeper Payment Mark 2 from 29 September 2020 to 28 March 2021: - The extension of payments to employers and sole traders beyond 28 September 2020 appears to be dependant on : - Reassessing eligibility based upon a comparison of turnover for June and September quarters 2019 and 2020. This assessment should not impact receipt of JobKeeper until after 28 September.... - If eligible moving forward; adjusting the benefit to the amount allowed based upon hours worked criteria. - From 28 September to 3 January 2021 The full rate will fall to $ 1,200 for those working 20 hours or more per week and $ 750 for everyone else. - From 3 January 2021 to 28 March 2021, it falls to $ 1,000 and $ 650 respectively https://treasury.gov.au/coronavirus/jobkeeper/extension

The form is very straight forwards and notifies the Federal Govt of your intention to claim this grant based on a decline in business turnover expectation for the coming months . In Short his grant is intended to be passed on to employees as a wage subsidy to retain employees.

08.01.2022 Round 3 of the Federal Carona Stimulus package,"Job Keeper" is for employers who forsee a 30% reduction in turnover that is likely to lead to layoffs (businesses with a turnover of less than $1bill). 04.01.2022 The Tasmanian Government is supporting SMEs and individuals through a $420 Mil support/stimulus package (2nd package in as many weeks). With part of the spotlight on the reference to small business the Tas Govt have said that part of the package is aimed at: Increase the Small Business Interest Free Loan Scheme from $20 million to $50 million which is now available for businesses with turnovers less than $10 million. Provide a new $40 million Small Business Grants Progra...m with $20 million set aside for an emergency grants program of $2500 cash payments. Provide a Digital Ready for Business Program, to assist businesses take their business online. Provide Business Continuity Advice with $750,000 in funding made available for businesses to seek cashflow and continuity advice, including a $50,000 grant to Small Business Council of Tasmania. A further $200,000 will be provided to the THA to provide business continuity and cashflow advice, and $200,000 will be provided to Rural Business Tasmania for the extension of its Rural Financial Counselling service. These are just a few of the incentives that maybe available for some of the small businesses that we see.
