11.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 2020 festivities are being celebrated this week and as part of FKG Group’s commitment to supporting reconciliation, our team have participated in activities to recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In the Maranoa region, FKG Group representatives Jono Ward (Supervisor) and Mick O’Hanlon (Safety Advisor), pictured with Rod Landers, Tallis Landers and Amy McNamara (Members of the Murri CUY), attended a Flag Raising Ceremony and Welcome to Country at Roma Cultural Centre. After the ceremony, the locals enjoyed indigenous performances and celebrated with a community morning tea. Additionally, members of our FKG Group’s RAP Working Group in Brisbane visited the Birrunga Art Gallery to view their NAIDOC 2020 Exhibition.
